Hello!

I am offering dog walking services in and around the Glasgow area. I specialise in bigger breeds but can accomodate. I have had 20 years expereince with german shepherds and now have a Rhodesian Ridgeback.

We found it a problem getting our ridgeback the day walks he required whilst we were at work from conventional dog walkers. So many walkers wanted to take him on, but none were wiling to put in the extra time or effort required for him to get the most out of his walk. As a puppy he needed his training carried on through his independant walks. He needed a

firm trainer to deal with his perosnality and he needed to play/run to get his energy out. A handful for some, but he has grown into a very well behaved boy due to our continious training and help from his dog walker. Due to these circumstances, we realise there is a big gap in the market for a dog walker who can provide the training, attention, walking and fun that these dogs need.

From problems we have had with walkers before we now have a deep understanding that every dog is individual and so

I can tailor your pets walk to suit their needs. Instead of walks in generic dog parks for 30 mins then including travel time in the 'walk', I would be able to take your dog to the campsies, small hikes, swimming in rivers etc. You would get charged for a full hour walk, travel time not included. There would be opportunities for you dog to socialise with other dogs. A problem you may come across day to day as most smaller breeds will not play the same way a big dog would. By playing with similar sized breeds they get great interaction with other dogs of the same ability.

I will also be using best practice to reinforce your training so manners are not de-railed whilst out with someone else.

Please take a look at some of the pictures of Hugo's latest adventures. I have an air conditioned 4x4 with padded, seperate seating in the back for your pet. It will be small group walks with only a few dogs at once so I can dedicate attention to each pet.
