Kia Ora we're Holly & Cameron!

We are a couple in our mid twenties who have recently moved to London from New Zealand, after spending some years working in the design and advertising industries at home we both felt a great ambition to explore the world & try some new experiences before we settle down and get some furry friends and a house of our own.

We started our great European adventure in Italy, where we worked on 2 farms learning everything from how to look after piglets, harvest grapes for wine, cook traditional delicious Italian meals, through to making beds for next season's vegetables. We loved the experience of working on farms, meeting new people, & looking after all the different animals, however knew it would be slightly challenging doing so when we landed in London so pet sitting & minding seemed like the perfect match for us!

As people we are both very caring, respectful, tidy, & honest - traits embedded in us we believe through our upbringing & always being around adults and pets growing up (2 Caviller King Charles, 2 italian greyhounds, 1 burmese cat, 2 budgies, 5 fish, and 1 Shitsu to name a few!). From our previous housesits back home and through our experiences staying with Airbnb hosts/in their homes we have received very positive feedback, of which we have attached this feedback in our profile images as a reference.

We are both quite artistic people too, I love design and interior styling (something I do on the side) and Cam is a big big lover of food and sport (Arsenal is his favourite)!

Why we want to pet sit & care for your animals:

We love house/pet sitting as it gives us the chance to spend time with animals, and spend time in different parts of London and the UK that we wouldn't otherwise get to explore. It is true that house sitting gives you a more local experience - going to the local parks with the pets, shopping at local supermarkets, meeting the neighbours, a dog's' furry local friends, & meeting the hosts & some of whom we have kept in contact with today, so you do truly feel like you are part of a community. Something we love about being new to London as well is meeting people from here.

Additionally to house sitting, we are happy to offer our services to visit your home once or twice a day to check in on your pets, feed and supply any required medications, provide a cuddle or two, water plants, and/or walk your dogs when required. Both Cam and I if requested can be availble to do this together at no extra cost, otherwise it will be me (Holly).

Our experience:

Cam & I have experience house/pet sitting both in New Zealand, and in the UK. We are relatively new to London and this website itself, as at home used a local agency for our house sits but this site offered more options overseas. We started house sitting as a way to spend time with animals back home, as most rentals will not let you have pets in Auckland, and growing up we both always had cats or dogs at home so missed the connection animals bring.

Over the years we've created relationships with owners and their pets and have often completed repeat sits for them, they like knowing their pets are relaxed in their own environment and when they arrive back their home is clean and their pets are happy. We have experience with both cats and dogs, and dogs of all sizes from Italian greyhounds with plenty of small-package/ big personalities, through to larger dogs requiring extra care in public areas around people, football matches, and squirrels!

For house sits we attend, & because each one is different it is very important to us that both parties are clear on the requirements of the sit upfront - this is so we can ensure everything is done to the standard and service expected & you can enjoy your time away knowing your home and pet is well taken care of. From our experience with different house sits there are various nuances which we can cater to specifically with the information/ communication that has been provided - such as do your prefer your pets inside or outside, specific meal times, dietary requirements, medications, walking times, on lead/off lead areas, cleaning requirements, plant care, pet habits, any no-go zones in the home for pets, security requirements, mail and message taking, any existing caution areas of the home & wear and tear we need to be aware of, and general house rules.

The more information provided and discussed upfront the better, as it helps us to tailor our services to your needs as well as put your mind at ease.

As an additional service I run a small interior design company in London called spaces_by_holly where I style rooms for Airbnb's, & home staging. I can do this with what the owner has in their home, or a small fee to purchase key items such as candles, cushions etc. I'd be happy to offer this service for free while we are housesitting for you for a simple room refresh, as it offers me more work for my portfolio & can be quite a lovely thing to come home to! We also tend to combine our skill sets and leave a cooked or baked treat for you when you arrive home to show our appreciation, and so you don't have to worry about your next meal after arriving home from your trip.

Pre sit or caring for your pets, we are happy to call or meet in person to answer any questions or queries and so you feel comfortable with us as carers.

In summary:

- Experienced house and pet sitters: Available for short and long term stays

- House visits available: Availability is flexible 7 days from 7am - 8pm in most parts of London

- Dog walking: Up to 1x

hour of dog walking, collecting dog/s from their home - playing ball games, throwing sticks, providing treats for good behaviour (if allowed) letting them run around (again if allowed) and company!
