I’ve always loved being around dogs, and becoming a pet sitter feels like the most natural thing in the world for me. My biggest motivation is knowing that I can give dogs the love, care, and attention they need while giving their owners peace of mind.
I have my own dog, who has taught me patience, playfulness, and unconditional love. Alongside caring for my pup, I regularly look after friends’ and neighbors’ dogs, making sure they get plenty of walks, belly rubs, and cuddles.
Because I know what it’s like to trust someone else with your best friend, I treat every dog in my care like family. I understand how nerve-wracking it can feel, so I provide photo and video updates throughout our time together. To add comfort, I suggest bringing a toy from home for the first few walks and always take a slow, steady approach when meeting new dogs. Hello, I am a level 2 student at Capel Manor College in Enfield studying animal management, I would like to do pet sitting as a part time job to make a bit of extra money to support me with my studies, I own a dog and 2 reptiles, I have experience with all types of animals and am not afraid of vicious or dangerous animals, For 2 years I have been handling common and exotic animals, learning how to look after all types of animals, this makes me feel confident in my ability to look after pets. Primarily I work with reptiles but I also have experience with mammals, birds and fish are my only weak points. As my dog isn't used to being with other dogs or big animals for animals that are not lizards I would have to do drop in visits and feedings. Where as lizards my dog has gotten used to. I was raised around cats and dogs, therefore I’ve acquired hands on experience since childhood. I particularly love cats and I enjoy getting to know each pet and finding out their own unique personality and preferences. I currently have a 2-year old British Shorthair that is very friendly and sociable. I love having other cats around so that she can play and socialise with them. I’m a lawyer working mostly from home, therefore I’m around all day and I have the flexibility to accept last minute bookings. My motivation to become a petsitter is to have the chance to get to know some more fur babies and to also give my cat Aysha the chance to socialise and play with other cats. I only accept a maximum of 2 bookings at the same time to ensure the pets are comfortable and able to adapt to the different circumstances. I have pet beds at home, however you fur babies are welcome to sleep on the couch, bed or wherever they feel comfortable!
