A lot of people think, rabbits are a lot less responsibility compared to a dog and a lot of parents often buy them as "practice pets" before the dog for kids. I remember, it was a few months of research for us before our first bun, Mochi, to get the current knowledge of rabbits. By now, we know rabbits arevery intelligent their main food is (timothy) hay they need human contact need a partner as they're social animals don't belong in cages or hutches (!) - our buns are freeroamed in the house can't be kept outside due to various dangers - weather, predators can be litter box trained need space to exercise ‍need a bunny proofed house when freeroamed like to have hidey houses and chewtoys as their teeth grow constantly love leafy greens and proper hay pellets can't have the muesli style rabbit food - that's junk food with low nutrients and full of sugar need to be spayed / neutered to avoid serious diseases like cancer LOVE banana as a treat There's a lot more to say and I know we lived in misconceptions about rabbits. They are as big of a responsibility as a dog can be.We can see our bunnies are very happy being freeroamed, eating their unlimited timothy hay, doing their business in their litter boxes, having their fresh veggies and pellets for breakfast and dinner, playing or cuddling with us for a movie, sharing kisses with us. I have been an owner myself all my life, and have been around animals for as long as I can remember. I have experience looking after my friends' and family's pets, ranging from cats and dogs to reptiles. I am still at college, so unfortunately I will only be available in the evenings and weekends, but all animals in my care will be top priority. As long as they are vaccinated, I would be happy to welcome them into my own home, but would rather have them where they will be most comfortable, in their own environment. 
Having considered a career in animal care for a long time now, I have decided to get as much experience in the field as possible, ensuring that I am prepared for what I will be doing. My two pets, a cat called Phoebe and a snake called Castiel, have taught me a lot about responsibility and how to do what is best for them, as well as planning ahead so I can meet all of their individual needs.
