For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in Reading for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local Reading Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving Reading sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

I have been a dog lover my whole life! I'm lucky that my family have 4 dogs, a border collie, canaan, white Swiss shepherd and a German shepherd. I have looked after my brothers German shepherd for 2 years (every week) as he grew up from puppy to adult and we have formed a solid bond. I can work with reactive dogs or dogs of any temperament. I can also continue to work on training if needs be. Can give plenty of cuddles or be hands off. I've taken a course on animal communication. I am very instinctive with animals and know if they need something. I have a very caring nature and dogs really are one of life's greatest gifts! I am always learning more about animal behaviour and enjoy taking courses on how to best work with animals. I am a big walker and love taking in nature with a dog buddy along side! I have a flexible working life, working from home 2 days a week, so I can dog sit or walk on those days. I can also dog sit or walk on weekends too. Local to Wokingham but can travel 15 mins out if needs be.I also have experience with parrots and cats, a big animal lover in general so can house sit for other animals too.I'm happy to administer medication or injections if shown how to. I also study Reiki so can even give your pet a Reiki session!I am physically fit and can handle dogs that pull on lead. If your pet exhibits signs of sickness or diarrhea please note I will not be able to look after them.

PLEASE NOTE - BOARDING REQUIREMENTS (our house)

I won't be able to board dogs at my house who are the following:- are exhibiting signs of sickness or diarrhea
- Not house trained
- Chew furniture or who are destructive
- Dig up the garden
- Bark a lot - we have attached neighbours so are very conscious of noise
- Need to sleep on the bed - we don't allow dogs on the bed - they are allowed in the bedroom if they're generally settled at night.
- If your dog is particularly young and demanding of attention please let me know - if it is on a day that I need to work from home this may not work out. I have looked after a few puppies but it depends on their temperament.

Hi doggy parents! We are Irene and David, a couple on our 30's who absolutely love dogs! We have a little cavapoo called Mia. She's 10 months old and very friendly with people and other dogs. Our house is located close to Reading town center. It's a 2 bed house in which our sofa is their sofa. We have a decent size fenced garden where Mia loves to play, roll over and sunbathe. We live by the river and have a nice path where we go for walkies every day. We're also close to parks where dogs can play and run around. We have Mia since February but have plenty of experience with other dogs. Mia is Irene's 4th dog (always had family dogs since I can remember. We've had mix breed dogs and currently a very active border collie). David had a family dog when he was younger as well (a cute bichon frise), so Mia is his 2nd.We are the official pet-sitters for family and friends and we've taken care of their doggies several times for both, daycare and boarding, so lots of experience as we've had puppies, active dogs, slightly "troubled" dogs (a dog scared of pretty much everything as she's a rescued dog) and also older dogs that love to chill. What do we offer?I (Irene) work from home 3 days a week (flexible) so your dog will never be alone, I'll be with them all the time! Our day care would be 8hr (flexible hours) but if you need more we'll have a chat when needed :)We offer 2/3 walks a day (weather dependent): one in the morning (around 8:30am or 9am) for about 20/30 min, then a longer walk of 1hr on my lunch break (around 1pm) and then another one in the evening (around 5pm or 6pm) for 30min to 1hr. Lots of play and cuddles at home in between all that of course! We do different things on the weekends (going to the river, forest, picnics, etc) so we can always adapt to your dog's needs and include them in all plans if that's ok with you! We'd also love to teach them or practice tricks and skills, we do a bit of "training" every day!I can also do basic grooming (wash, brush and clean eyes and ears).Happy to send regular updates, pics and videos for you to know your dog is in good hands. Rest assured he/she will feel at home and will have all the love and affection they need <3*IMPORTANT BITS*We only take fully vaccinated and NEUTERED dogs. Mia is also fully vaccinated but not spayed yet. We'd take SMALL and MEDIUM dogs ONLY and just one at a time (1 dog + ours) for now, so Mia doesn't feel overwhelmed or intimidated. The most important for us is that they feel comfortable and want to come back here. We'll treat your dog as we treat ours and them being happy is our top priority! The 3 of us are looking forward to meet you and your doggies! Please, get in touch to discuss your needs or if any questions. We'd then arrange a first meeting if all good, as we think this is important for both sides to make sure everyone is happy :)

Calm, social and active home. We have our lovely cockapoo Betty who is always keen to socialise and have other friendly dogs round. We can't commit to two dog yet but would love to look after your furry friend while you go on an adventure/trip !
We are out walking lots at the weekend and very much plan life around the dog. Always visiting new places and happy to have the fury companions.
My husband and I work from home so we are always around to keep your furry friend company. Our home has lots of places to chill and rest after a long walk.
A small, secure, and enclosed back garden fully dog-proof. We live next to the fields by the river and have a large private field a stones through from the house.
I know how important it is to feel that your furry friend is in safe hands, I have been in the position myself! There will be lots of communication to let you know how much fun they are having with pictures and messages !!

All aspects of dog care experience over many years from puppy birth delivery to basic trainng, rehabilitation support, administering medicines and of course most importantly daily love and care. All on a 1-2-1 basis in a safe, secure and high quality environment of my own home. Nothing is too much trouble..
I have a compeltely dog secure, fully fenced garden in an established private road in central Ascot, ensuring safety for the dogs. Your pet would also be accompanied by my own gorgeous Shipoo - an additional play mate for their stay. I also provide a dog grooming serivice seperately.
I like to know as much information about the doggies I look after - eating/potty/sleep walk schedules as well as knowing any anxieties your dog may have. I always suggest having a "meet and greet" before the first visit. In a nutshell I want to make their stay as comfortable as possible so the more information the better.

As a pet sitter, my primary responsibility is to care for and ensure the well being of your beloved pets. Here's an overview of the services I can provide: 1. Feeding and watering: I will follow instructions to provide pets with appropriate food and fresh water at scheduled times. 2. Exercise and playtime: I understand the importance of physical activity and mental stimulation for pets. I will engage in playtime, walks and exercise routines.3. Basic Training and reinforcement: If you're working on specific commands or behaviors with your pets, I can continue to reinforce these during visits.4. Litter box/cage maintenance: for cats, small mammals or birds, I will clean and maintain their living spaces to ensure hygiene and comfort.5. Medication administration: if your pet requires medication, I have experience administering pills, injections or topical treatments following your vets instructions.6. Grooming and brushing: regular grooming and brushing can help keep your pets coat healthy and reduce shedding. I can provide these services as needed.

I work from home for part of the week, which means I can give plenty of time, attention and care to a furry guest. I genuinely enjoy having dogs around, and pet sitting is something I do with love, not just as a job.
My daughter absolutely adores dogs, and spending time with them brings her a lot of joy.
Unfortunately, at the moment, we are not able to have a second dog permanently, so welcoming a visiting dog into our home is a wonderful solution for us. Your pet will never feel alone here — there is always someone around for cuddles, playtime and calm companionship.
I currently have a small female griffon at home, so for everyone’s comfort and safety I prefer to take small or medium-small dogs. This helps ensure a peaceful and friendly environment where all dogs feel relaxed and secure.I treat every pet as an individual, respecting their routines, habits and personality.
I’m happy to follow your instructions carefully and make sure your dog feels at home, safe and well cared for while you’re away.

I am a huge animal lover originally from Hong Kong, and I have recently moved to Reading. I have over 10 years of experience caring for cats, particularly senior cats with medication needs. I also have practical experience working with small animals like hawks, doves, squirrels, wild cats, and birds at the Hong Kong Animal Garden. My role involved taking care of rescued animals by preparing their food, feeding them, cleaning their homes, and even helping to set up environments to train them before releasing them back into the wild.
I am excellent at giving treats, offering cuddles, and quickly bonding with cats. Cleaning litter trays is no issue for me. I am happy to come and meet your furry friends, feed and play with them, or just sit quietly with them. I will provide updates with lovely photos during my visits so you can go about your day or enjoy your holiday worry-free. I'll make sure your pet feels safe and happy at home. I also have an enhanced DBS check.
