Our families have had cats and dogs throughout our lives, including senior dogs, rescue dogs and cats - so have had plenty of experience looking after animals. Our family spaniel regularly stays over as they live in St Albans- as seen in photos! 
We are 31 - Marcus is a teacher and Josie currently training to be a yoga teacher, so your dog will be in a relaxed, caring and calm environment. They will have lots of dedicated care and attention, as well as a lovely local park to have long walks around- we love keeping active as much as the dogs do! 
We have a small fenced garden (as seen in photos) no small children and no other animals. We will care for your dog, walk them, feed them, cuddle them and keep you posted daily, same as we liked to be kept informed when my family spaniel had been cared for by somebody else, we know how important is to know they are doing well. Any other questions will be happy to answer :)
Please note: if it's the first time booking a boarding stay with us we will only accept one night at first - to make sure your doggy knows us and is comfortable in our house and the stay is as positive as possible! :)

I’m finishing my Master’s in Directing at York this summer and am keen to use my free time for something I truly love – caring for cats! The joy of spending time with these incredible creatures is unmatched.

My life is brightened every day by my ten-month-old calico cat. Two years ago, I started caring for friends’ cats, and since then, I’ve been the go-to person for friends needing care for their feline companions, including a rescued calico and a Ragdoll.

Diving into cat care has deepened my understanding of their unique needs and personalities, ensuring they’re always happy and well-cared for. My passion and dedication to their well-being make me an excellent candidate for a cat sitter role. I’m looking forward to the chance to connect with and care for more feline friends.

Whether it’s scooping the litter box or swapping out the litter (only if you think it’s needed), I’ve got it covered. I’ll keep their water bowl topped up and their food bowl full, sticking to your planned schedule for meals and treats. And of course, there’ll be plenty of playtime, cuddles, and strokes – I’ll get to know what they love most before you leave.

If your furry friend enjoys a good scrub, I’m also up for giving them a bath, though we might need to chat about a little extra for that service.

Between March 2023 and Febeuary 2024 I cared for people's pets, plants and gardens across the UK. I mainly cared for cats and dogs but also looked after 2 budgies, 3 guinea pigs and even a snake.
I am now working full time (Monday to Friday, 09.30 - 17.30), however I truly love caring for animals and am keen to do it in my spare time and on my annual leave.&nbsp;
I feel I learn something new with each experience and animal I meet. I also appreciate the relationship between myself and the owner(s) is as important as the relationship between myself and the animal(s).
I am open to caring for animals in the Hemel Hempstead area and surrounds.&nbsp;
NB. I don't have access to a car at the moment but can walk / take public transport where viable.

I have had Springer Spaniels for the past 30 years and have been dog sitting for 8 years so I have looked after many breeds of dogs. I have also worked with a Springer spaniel rescue society and currently registered to the cinnamon Trust which is also a charity.
I have a 3 bedroom house which is typically suited to small/medium sized dogs, with a large enclosed garden.&nbsp;
I am at home most of the time.so your little darling will have almost companionship,  however as a single carer there will be occasions when I will have to pop out for short periods. Yoir dog will have a home from home experience and have the full run of my home and hopefully a cuddle on the sofa.
I don't close doors so I am easily found . I love gardening so in the summer hopefully your dog will enjoy playing ball outside and just enjoying my company. I absolutely adore dogs, they have been a big part of my life. I will look after your dog as if it were my own..

We believe every animal deserves someone who loves him or her. They are always there for us, and that’s is why we decided to be there for them. For the past five years we are a family for our French Bulldog Bogdan; loving and playful companion. As a owners of quite stubborn breed we have great knowledge and responsible approach when looking after dogs. Bogdan get along very well with small and medium size dogs therefore we are able to look after dogs within those sizes. 

We provide the following services: dog day care in our home or owner home, night boarding in our home, dog walking, pick up and drop off at additional cost.

Our home is situated in St Albans - top floor 2 bedroom room penthouse with lift and secure balcony. There are many parks around us making it easier to walk and exercise the pets regularly.

We board 1-2 small to medium dogs at a time and dogs who are trained to toilet outside. There's always someone at home, either me or my husband so your pet will never be left alone. We don't have any young children in the house so your dog will get our undivided attention 
We provide 1-2 long walks in a day depending on the needs of the dog so we are very flexible.

I can cater for all dogs, whether they're high energy or if they need extra rest or sleep for extended periods of time. Whilst I appreciate the former, I cater for the latter too.For dogs with a lot of energy, a typical day with me consists of a couple of long walks. Some mental stimulation, obedience training to reinforce what they know or teaching of tricks. For low energy dogs, I can stick to short walks, tummy rubs, cuddles, and massages. Daily videos and photos will be sent to you for the duration of their stay.&nbsp;

VETERINARY ASSISTANT CERTIFIED. From a very young age, I have shown signs of a huge love for animals. I used to rescue wild animals and I domesticated 7 feral kittens and their mother. I was 8 years old at the time. My whole life revolved around animals. I grew up around German Sheperds. When I was 14 years old I had my own German Shepherd. I trained it and took full care and responsibility for it. I just LOVE dogs, cats and other animals. All breeds and shapes. I live in Watford and I have my own 4 cats and our new addition; toy poodle Coco, who is 8 months old. I love training dogs. I love feeding them, bathing and taking for a long walks. We focus on gentle socialisation and playing, with many young dogs not having been able to socialise enough during Covid lockdowns. If you continue to work from home, it can be helpful for your dog to have a change of scenery and to meet new people and play with different dogs in a safe and well-supervised environment.

Induction Process
My focus is on dogs’ comfort with the appropriate blend of small companion dogs, getting to know my home, garden and some of the other dogs in my care. Unfortunately, boarding bookings for dogs who have not completed the induction process are not possible. If you have a holiday coming up, let's get the induction process completed to enable you to schedule a lovely holiday for your dog while you are away.
1 – One hour meet and greet for owner(s) and dog(s).2 – Four hour familiarisation session with you here for first half hour.3 – Eight hour day (or) overnight stay if you will be boarding.
One overnight stay is required before a longer-term boarding booking is accepted to ensure your dog will be comfortable.

Before Booking

Your dog should be at least one year old.
Please ensure your dog is housetrained.
Proof of being neutered / spayed.
Proof of annual vaccinations including kennel cough.

You Provide

Dog food that your dog normally eats.
Lead, collar/harness with ID tag.
You are encouraged to bring your dog’s bedding and favoured toys to ensure your dog feels at home.
Any necessary medicines and instructions.


During Your Dog's Stay

Lap of Luxury tags with our phone number attached to collar while in our care.
Daily pictures and updates.
Facetime/Whatsapp video calls with your dog when boarding.
Minimum of two 20-minute walks per day (or equivalent active playing in garden) during an eight-hour day care session; a third walk (or equivalent) per 24-hour stay in local parks and woodlands.
'Lead-always-on' policy during walks.
Coat brushed, paws, ears and eyes checked and cleaned daily.
Hills hypoallergenic treats and dried sprats (fish) provided with your permission.
