I am currently studying for a MSc and have been considering starting my own business as a dog walker and pet sitter.  I have always had cats and dogs and have always wanted to work with dogs but sometimes life takes you in other directions. I am happiest in the company of four-legged furry friends, even more so when out and about walking in all of Sheffields beautiful green spaces. I know how hard it can be to leave your fur-babies at home when you're working or going on holiday, and how important it is to find someone you can trust and that will treat them like their own family - so that's what I aim to provide.&nbsp;
Ironically, my dog isn't a huge walker and much prefers to sleep away the day and then take a leisurely stroll around the block in the evening - which just adds to my motivation to want to walk yours and have plenty of time to do so!


Hi! I am a postdoc at Sheffield. I work from home a lot and my time is quite flexible! I can thus provide pet care both weekdays and weekends. I have always been a passionate cat lover. I have two cats myself and take good care of them and they are the centre of my world, whom all my future plan revolves around. 
I thought if there's anyone in my neighborhood that need help with cats I can help! I really enjoy the company of cats, and can help with all aspects of taking care of them, as I am a cat owner myself. 
I have also taken care of my friend's dog before and really enjoyed walking the dog and keeping the dog company (my cats have limited quota of cuddling per day unlike dogs!). I really love dogs but not in a financial situation to get one myself so really eager to help others to take care of their dogs if they have the need. I have taken care of small and medium dogs as well as large dogs.
In terms of home visits and home sitting, I mostly work from my laptop so I can work from your home and keep your pets company for longer, if you want. So basically, for the price of one visit, I typically will accompany your pet for at least an hour or longer, if I don't have another plan around that time. (For house visit, 20-30 minutes of play and cuddle time is guaranteed even if I am busy that day and need to run! ) I will always send plenty of photos or videos and can even do a quick video call when I am with your pet, if you want. 
I can groom the cat. I can do basic medication. Will clean their toilet. Will give them many cuddles and also will give them the space and make them feel comfortable if they are not the cuddle kind of cat. You can discuss any routine with me and I will follow them.
Another service I provide is walking the dog. I can walk the dog for around half an hour (or an hour, with additional charge), and I can walk the dog twice a day if needed. I can offer dog walking and house visits but would not normally provide dog boarding as because of having cats in the house (unless your dog is very good with cats!).
(For dog walking, I can only do the S11 area; you could consider day care option instead if you would like to book me and live further)
For the daycare option, since I can't usually take in dog at my house, I am happy to stay at yours and take care of the dog for the whole day apart from leaving for lunch, (one to two walks included),if you could provide any sort of space for me to use my laptop to work
I have a preference to pet sit for around my neighborhood (near Sharrow Vale/Endcliffe Park) as I don't have a vehicle to go far. I am happy to go anywhere within around 20 minutes on foot. (Happy to go further if there is a frequent direct bus and you cover the bus fare). I am aiming to go to university more so would welcome sits around uni of Sheffield too.

I am obsessed with animals, I grew up with over 25+ pets (dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, fish, frogs, turtles, salamanders, etc!) in Michigan, and now I raise my beloved four cats and three guinea pigs with my partner here in Sheffield. I left the US 5 years ago and am currently in my doctoral training to be a clinical psychologist, studying at the University of Sheffield and working in the NHS. My husband and I own eight animal babies; two cairn terriers, one cavalier king charles spaniel, two short haired domestic outdoor cats, one indoor moggie cat, a tortoise and a horse. Our family, including our daughter are huge animal lovers. I will give your fur baby/ babies the same love, care and adoration so you can take a much needed break whether for work, leisure or just some much needed rest. I know how it feels to leave your baby in someone else's hands so I will keep you updated and assured with pictures and videos when I am with your pets. I have had my own dog growing up, which has shown me the basics on how to care for a dog and their needs. I have also worked in a dog grooming salon, where I cared for all types of dogs whilst waiting for their turn to be groomed. I also walk my managers dog, Millie, so I have plenty of dog walking experience for a dog that isn’t my own!

I am currently working part-time as a teaching assistant, which leaves me lots of spare time to care for some special fur babies, (especially during the holidays!). My availability will alter around your needs, so just let me know.

I have a secure, fenced garden where your dog can safely enjoy some fresh air and take toilet breaks. They’ll always be under my constant supervision while outside — I never leave dogs unattended. With two years of cat sitting experience, I’ve had the joy of regularly caring for my partner’s family cat, Coco (who also answers to many adorable nicknames!). I offer dog walking, pet sitting and drop in visits. During pet sitting i am available to come back every few hours as dog walking is my job so your pet will never be left alone for more than 4 hours.
