Top cities for house sitting in United Kingdom

Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Dorridge home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Dorridge.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Dorridge home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

Hi, I’m Tee

I’m a lifelong animal lover and a proud pet owner myself, so I know firsthand how much trust it takes to leave your pets in someone else’s care. Currently Being apart of the ItsNotADogKennel Team Alongside looking after my own & previously building hands on experience through pet shop work placements and boarding environments, where I cared for cats, dogs, small pets, and even more exotic animals like birds, reptiles, and tarantulas.

I’m reliable, patient, and detail oriented whether that’s sticking to feeding schedules, giving plenty of fuss and playtime, or keeping habitats clean and safe. With a background in customer service and volunteering, I’m also used to being responsible and approachable, which helps pets (and their owners!) feel at ease.

I’m mainly available around Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, and surrounding areas, but can also consider further north/west locations for overnight care.

I always treat every animal as if they were my own, and I’d love the chance to meet your furry, feathery, or scaly family members! ‍‍

I grew up around pets and quickly learned that good care is not just about feeding and walking, but about patience, attention, and creating a calm, safe environment where they feel secure. Becoming a pet sitter feels like a natural extension of that mindset. I genuinely enjoy spending time with animals and find it rewarding to help them feel comfortable and loved while their owners are away.
My motivation comes from understanding how stressful it can be to leave your pet with someone else. I want owners to feel confident that their pets are treated with the same care and respect I would give my own. I am reliable, organised, and attentive to routines. In a typical day, I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible. Mornings might start with a walk, fresh water, breakfast, and some playtime to burn energy. During the day, I build in enrichment like short training games, gentle brushing, or puzzle toys. Evenings are usually calmer with another walk, dinner, and quiet companionship so they can settle comfortably. I keep spaces clean and stick to feeding and medication schedules carefully.
I have previous experience caring for dogs and cats for friends, neighbours, and family, including daily walks and feeding. I am comfortable with different temperaments and energy levels, from playful puppies to calmer pets who need a gentler pace. Energetic dogs get longer walks and active play, while shy or anxious pets get patience and a slower approach so they can warm up at their own pace.
What I bring that is unique is consistency and attentiveness. I am organised, calm, and observant, so I quickly notice changes in behaviour or appetite. I also genuinely enjoy spending time with animals, not just “checking in” on them.
For everyone’s safety and wellbeing, I only work with vaccinated pets. Cleanliness, safety, and comfort are always priorities. Above all, I aim to provide consistent, loving care so your pet feels happy, relaxed, and at home even when you are away.

Hi, I’m Asam, a calm and reliable pet sitter based in Birmingham.

I understand how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed in their own home. My approach is patient, attentive, and consistent, which helps both energetic and more anxious pets settle quickly.

I have hands-on experience caring for both dogs and cats, including larger breeds, senior pets, and more active dogs. I’m confident handling different temperaments and always adapt to each pet’s needs, whether that’s structured walks, playtime, or simply providing calm companionship.

During house sitting or drop-in visits, I follow each owner’s routine closely — including feeding, walking, cleaning, and any specific instructions. I also provide regular updates and photos, so you always have peace of mind while you’re away.

I stay calm and focused in all situations and can handle unexpected issues responsibly, ensuring your pet is safe, secure, and well cared for at all times.

My goal is simple: to give your pet the same level of care and attention you would yourself.
