Are you going away but have a pet that prefers to stay in their own environment? Or perhaps you have a range of different animals and it’s not practical for you to organise for them to stay in different places? Then you might want to consider finding a Pawshake house sitter to come and stay at your Hove home while you are away.

House sitting is a convenient and affordable option when you have multiple pets and also want your house to be securely looked after while you are away. Many of our pet sitters have very reasonable house sitting rates because they enjoy staying and exploring different local neighbourhoods like Hove.

At Pawshake, we understand that trusting your home to a stranger can be a little daunting. So we’ve done all the hard work to ensure that your Pawshake house sitter is trustworthy and reliable. All our pet sitter profiles are checked individually by our dedicated trust and safety team and some house sitters also have their own police checks which they can share with you.

The best thing about engaging a Pawshake verified house sitter is that you can relax knowing that on top of being covered by The Pawshake Guarantee which includes veterinary coverage, so your pets are being cared for in a familiar environment and your Hove home is also being looked after as well.

In addition to looking after your pets, most of our house sitters will happily help you by collecting your mail, taking out the bins, and watering your plants. Just make sure you discuss all your requirements with your chosen house sitter prior to booking.

As cat owners ourselves, we know how they can be with change and new environments so we aim to deliver a service that helps fight those worries of taking your cat away from the environments they feel most safe in. Nobody wants an unhappy kitty!
We have experience with a range of different cat breeds and personalities. Some very shy cats alongside some very confident and cuddly ones. We've been repeat sitters for a friend of ours who owns a beautiful bengal girl and she definitely can be a touch wild at times, still a delight to look after though.
As well as growing up with cats we have got a few of our own, two beautiful black, a tuxedo, a calico, a tabby and a mixed girl(she's a touch of everything, even bengal!) and they are quite the cocktail of personalities
We'd love to take care of your kitties while you're away and puromise to treat them the same way we do our own -- message us to book your free meet & greet

I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was 10, and over the years, I’ve built strong bonds with pets of all kinds. From puppies to adult dogs and even senior care, I've had the pleasure of looking after a wide variety of breeds. I raised my own Jack Russell Cross, Bella Boo, from puppyhood to 11 years old and cared for my sisters' dogs (Staffie, Rottweiler, Pugs, Chihuahua, Samoyed, and Chihuahua cross).
I've also cared for my neighbour’s 10 cats, socialising and looking after them regularly. My experience also includes house-sitting for a cat for two weeks, ensuring they were well taken care of in their own space. I truly try to understand the unique needs of every pet and strive to give them the best care.
When caring for pets in their own home, I always make sure to respect the space and follow any instructions closely. I understand how important it is for pets to stay in their familiar environment, and I do everything I can to keep their routine consistent and stress-free.
I treat every home with care and consideration—cleaning up after myself, keeping things tidy, and ensuring your pet feels safe and loved at all times. Whether it’s regular updates, sticking to feeding and walk times, or simply giving them some extra attention while you're away, I’m here to give you peace of mind.

Recently through here, I am currently walking 11 year old Maisy the dog (5th pic) every week and would love the chance to walk and care for maybe yours especially consistently. Any other animals, I'm welcome to. I've wanted to be with dogs for long and now its a reality. Whatever guidance to take care of your one, I'm all for. I listen, am very friendly, communicative and enjoy company valuably. Dogs mean so much as they are good companions, and to have that as a reliable person is very appealing especially in trust. Hit me up, I'm ready! My services involve feeding, walking, bonding, playing, adhering to principals, sitting and whatever the client would like to add or suggest. If you like my contact details too, we can do that and see where the path goes. Let me know timings, days, longevity and we'll work it all out. I look forward to hearing and interacting with you.

I am a caring, responsible, and patient person with a genuine love for animals. I understand that pets are not “just animals” they are family members, each with their own personality, routines, and emotional needs. My motivation to become a pet sitter comes from my own experience as a very devoted cat parent. Through this, I’ve learned how important trust, consistency, and affection are for a pet’s wellbeing. I am calm, attentive, and respectful of each pet’s boundaries. I take the time to talk to them, let them approach me in their own time, and make sure they feel safe and comfortable. I am happy to follow specific routines, feeding schedules, and care instructions exactly as requested by the owner.i have experience caring for cats and small pets, including feeding, cleaning litter trays, providing companionship, and monitoring their behaviour and wellbeing. I am very observant and will always notice if something feels out of the ordinary.I take pet care seriously and treat every home with respect. I am reliable, tidy, and communicative, and I understand how reassuring updates are for pet owners while they are away. For everyone’s safety, I am comfortable caring only for vaccinated pets. My goal is simple: to make sure your pet feels loved, calm, and cared for while you’re away.️️️️I would like to do this job because I truly love cats and enjoy spending time with them. I like playing with them, giving them attention and affection, feeding them on time, and making sure they always have fresh water. I clean the litter tray regularly and follow each cat’s routine exactly as recommended by their owners.

I stay with the cats for as long as needed so they feel safe, calm, and comfortable. If a cat requires medication or treatment, I am able to administer it according to the owner’s instructions. My priority is to make every cat feel loved, relaxed, and well cared for, just like at home.

Hello! My name is Amy, I live in Brighton and have been a huge animal lover for as long as I can remember. I've been trusted to look after my friends and families pets, from hamsters to rabbits, goldfish, dogs, and lots of cats in-between! I have always enjoyed how rewarding it is to look after animals, they make me feel so happy and relaxed - I genuinely love it!I love being there for my clients, and their sweet animals alike. I have a wealth of experience with different dogs and cats. I often like to watch how they settle into their own environment, e.g. if they have a favourite spot, or if they like to be scratched behind the ears! I always hope they will see me like another member of the family so they are as happy and comfortable as possible whilst their owner is away.Long walks are my speciality! We will go on a full, new adventure around the neighbourhood, taking it at your dog's pace. There's lots of things to smell and explore, whilst heading towards large green spaces gives your dog the chance to get out and socialise in their own way. I love seeing their happy faces when they're comfortable doing their own thing! Please let me know if your dog/cat has any special requirements and if there are types of behaviour that I should be aware of, i.e. if dogs are more nervous around certain breeds/sizes of other dogs, or if they are more excited by human interaction, if they require a longer/shorter walk, or if there is a certain area to avoid in town.I look forward to hearing from you!Amy x
