I'm a 20 year old who has a lot of experience with animals, I work Sunday's and Bank Holidays at Flypets which is a Kennels and Cattery. I work those days by myself, normally the kennels have around 5 dogs which are different breeds and sizes, so I'm used to being around and handling all kinds of dogs. My shift pattern is flexible, so if your pet is to stay with me I'll be able to go home around 12pm for a couple of hours; I can then make sure they're fed, walked and content before I leave the house again.
To further my experience, I volunteered at the RSPCA in Chobham in 2017 which helped me understand animals a lot more than I previously did and I loved getting to know all of the animals I met. My studies in animal behaviour and care has also helped me understand the importance of keeping an animal stress-free and the importance of gaining their trust. Being at the RSPCA has given me a lot more confidence and I'm able to communicate with people a lot better; it's also given me a passion in animal care, especially with dogs. I learned a lot in the year I was there and have been given a certificate in Dog Training. I also have a Diploma in Canine Behaviour and I’m currently studying a Canine Nutrition Diploma.
The house I live in is family orientated and loving, I have a little brother and sister who will be at school during the day, so the house won't be too noisy or stressful; however if they are to be home, they're extremely good and gentle with animals and understand they need their own space. We have had our dog for nearly 4 years, since he was a tiny pup, over these years my family and I have learned a lot about his quirks and things that make him anxious, stressed or unhappy. If you're to put your animal in my care, I can guarantee they will be well looked after and comfortable. I will be able to dog sit, dog walk and care for your animal, I can also train puppies as I have helped people with this in the past. I live in an urban surrounding, but within a 5-10 minutes walk there are a variety of fields where people take their dogs for a good walk. The place I mostly go to is called The Chertsey Meads, which is about 170 acres of field including a few lakes; it's a very popular place for dog walkers to go to. Another place I walk my dog is called Laleham Park, which has a massive lake and a field with paths which are surrounded by trees and forest. I've had no bad experiences at either of these places, they're both lovely places to walk dogs and people there are incredibly friendly. My dog always comes home feeling happy.
I could not ask for better! My pup was liked after amazingly! (I dont think he wanted to come home lol) So incredibly impressed! Felt at ease from word go and communication was brilliant! Such a brilliant family dynamic to leave your pet with! Will 100% be a returning customer!
Lovely girl, family and dog ☺ She looked after my puppy very well, had a holiday in peace, very happy ♥
I have a Diploma in Canine Behaviour and I'm studying for a Diploma in Canine Nutrition, so I know the signs of a stressed dog and will make sure they're fully comfortable and happy. I also don't feed my dog foods that are bad for him, so if you're to put your dog in my care I'll make sure nothing bad is given to them.
I also have a certificate and reward for a course I completed in dog training.
I've trained my dog since he was 9 weeks old, this includes: sit, paw, lie down, waiting for his food and treats, high five, catch, and tricks such as balancing food on his arms etc.
I have a lot of experience with all types of dogs and animals such as rabbits, cats, ferrets and hamsters. I have walked and trained dogs, cleaned out kennels and cages, followed instructions on how to prepare and measure quantities of food, given medication and updated food charts.
