I joined Pawshake a few years ago, trying to find someone to visit our cat whilst we were on holiday. At that time we had only recently moved to Balerno and didn't have any friends or family who could pop by. I realised that there may be lots of other pet owners in the same situation and signed up to pet sit too.

I've always had animals in my life and love the way a happy furry friend is able to make a house a home and bring a smile to your face.

I have two cats - willow and Rollo and a Cocker Spaniel, Kiko keeping me on my toes at home. Over the years I've had several other cats and a variety of rabbits and other small animals.

I understand that while you're away it's important to know that your pet is well taken care of and your home is safe and secure too. I will happily water plants, collect mail and do other little jobs to make sure your home is a just as you left it when you return.

I aim to offer the same care and attention to other pets that I would like mine to have whilst I was away. Based in Balerno, I am ideally placed for pet sitting in the Lanark Road area. I work from home so can visit any time of day.

I only pet-sit for one household at a time so that I can spend quality time with your pet as well as taking care of their needs. If your cats prefer two or even three meals a day, I am happy to set timer feeders to accommodate this.
