Hello, My name is Róisín, I am a passionate animal lover currently looking to work part-time on PawShake. I have been using pawshake for pet boarding/walking and sitting for the last year in Ireland, however I have now moved to Glasgow, Scotland and am avalible again for dog walking and sitting! I'm open to minding any pets, cats, dogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, pigs, chickens, horses etc. (I cannot board at the moment however) I absolutely adore animals of all kinds. I have alwys owned animals my whole life; cats, dogs, fish, guinea pigs and rabbits. Ever since I've moved out of home for college I have found myself without a loving pet to care for, leaving an empty void in my life. I miss caring for animals and couldn't think of anything better than petsitting to help someone out. I have loads of experience in caring for animals; including doing extensive voluntary work at the cork animal shelter in Mahon where I groomed, cleaned, fed and walked all sorts of animals, ranging from dogs to cats to chickens to lizards and birds. I also volunteered in horse stables for years riding and caring for horses. I recently fostered an older rescue lurcher for 3 months during the COVID lockdown, learning so much on the way.
I am joyful and energetic person who would be able to keep up with any animal care needs; walking, cleaning, feeding and just general cuddling and playtime! I own a car which is pet-friendly. I love nature and genuinely would be delighted with any excuse to get outside. I live right next to many beautiful walks and parks, all beautiful scenic dog-friendly locations ideal for dog walking. I walk dogs for an hour/ hour and a half. I am also 100% open to commuting somewhere to walk dogs or collections/drop-offs if that is something you are looking for! Having my degree in biology means I understand a lot about animals, illnesses and nutritional needs, etc, helping ensure I'm looking out for your pet as best I can. I'm hoping to make this my full-time income, meaning I want to put everything into making this the best experience for your dog possible and being a fully transparent pet sitter/walker. I'm looking forward to meeting you, and your lovely pet, thank you in advance!
Friendly and conscientious. We got loads of pictures and updates of how our 14 year old Cavalier was getting on and it was great to see how well she was being looked after.
Roisin looked after our male cavachon for a few nights over Christmas - received loads of photos while we were away, he got plenty of walks and lots of TLC! Great service !
