Hey! I'm Charlie, a 28 year old strategist living in Catford with my fiancé and two cats. I currently WFH apart from Wednesdays when I'm in the office.
I grew up with many pets throughout my childhood from dogs and cats to horses, hamsters and goldfish. I’ve also got experience in animal husbandry; I volunteered at Battersea dogs and cats home for a year, a couple of other rehoming shelters as well as zoos and stables. During my time at battersea I gained a lot of experience with different breeds of dogs as well as difficult or nervous dogs and would say I am used to handling dogs with an unknown history.
I have been a pet sitter for a number of years and during my time have taken care of an array of pets from rabbits, hamsters, dogs, cats, fish and horses to build up a sizeable clientelle. I was even ranked top in Google search for “pet sitter Peckham” when I used to live there. I’m a huge animal lover and when I’m not pet sitting you can find me horse riding, attending gigs or doing yoga/barre.
I would love to help you by taking care of your much loved pets whilst ensuring everything is as it should be in your home, including watering plants/garden. I would be more than happy to send you regular updates for your peace of mind whilst you’re away as I know how hard it can be to leave your beloved fur baby behind. Not only am I happy to feed, walk, groom, exercise, litter change but I also love to just stay indoors for some cuddles or a play.
Prior to booking, I would be more than happy to pop over and meet you, find out more about what you are looking for in a pet sitter and answer any questions you may have. I just want to ensure that both you and your pets will feel as happy and comfortable as possible whilst you're away.
As I'm sure you can see I'm just generally a massive animal lover who will treat your pets like my own. Joining Pawshake has been a fantastic way to meet some new people, their furry friends and offer a helping hand and I want to assure you that your pet will be in great hands if you choose me as your sitter. Please don't hesitate to get in contact with any questions as I’d love to help out if I have the availability!

Dog specific:
I'm what my friends would call dog obsessed, I stop for just about every dog in the street. My parents have 3 dogs - a staffy, a springer cross and a Jack Russell cross so I'm used to various breeds.
- Home visits - I don't currently offer overnight stays but I'm happy to pet sit your dog at your home for the whole day if needed, providing there is space for me to work. Alternatively I am able to do drop in visits if your dog only requires feeding and walking or just needs a cuddle. Walks are usually 30 minute but if you're looking for a slightly longer walk for you pooch, this can be discussed for an additional cost. I will spend however long you feel is necessary with your pet during a home visit and am happy to visit more than once a day providing that the address isn't too far. I have my own car so do let me know if you have parking near you.
- Boarding - I offer dog boarding at my home but as I have cats in my household I would only be able to board one dog (or two small dogs if from the same household) at a time that is sensible with cats for safety. My cats have lived with a dog before and often keep to themselves when I have canine visitors. The area I live in is right next to a variety of parks, so perfect for walks and there are lots of other dogs about. I also have a large fenced back garden in my home where your pets are welcome to roam around at ease.
Cat specific:
I had many cats throughout my childhood but I re-homed 2 cats of my own in 2019 who I adore. I’m also rather cat obsessed so I can assure you that your kitty will be in great hands if you choose me as your sitter. I have looked after many cats in my neighbourhood and built up a sizeable kitty clientelle over the years. I’m experienced in looking after an array of cats from friendly to shy, many of my clients call me the cat whisperer as I’m able to entice even the scardiest of cats out from under the bed for a chin scratch or a treat with some time and a little patience. I'd be more than happy to visit your cat 1-2 times a day to feed them, change their litter and give them a fuss whilst you're away. Unfortunately I won't be able to do overnight stays as I need to be around for my own fur babies.

Charlie is an exceptionally dependable dog sitter. She consistently went above and beyond to care for Izzy, and it was clear Izzy had grown fond of her by the way they parted♥️
Charlie is truly exceptional! I couldn’t ask for a better pet sitter.
After having my puppy for about a month, I left him with Charlie for the weekend, and she was amazing. I was naturally anxious about separating myself from my dog, but Charlie made the experience as smooth as possible. She kept me updated regularly, sharing how their day was going along with photos, which really made me feel part of their days.
I’m so grateful we found Charlie—my dog adores her, and I’ll definitely be returning without considering anyone else.
Thank you so much, Charlie!
I studied Animal Behaviour and Welfare for one year at the University of Bristol, but sadly did not complete my degree.
