When volunteering as an animal care volunteer at the RSPCA is incredibly rewarding experience. I get to engage in various tasks like feeding, grooming, and exercising the animals. I also assist the staff with cleaning the animal enclosures, ensuring that each animal receives the proper care and attention they deserve. This role has deepened my understanding of animal behavior and welfare.

During my work experience in a veterinary practice, I gained invaluable insights into the medical care of animals. I had the opportunity to observe routine check-ups, vaccinations, and even some surgical procedures. This experience taught me the importance of preventative care and how to handle animals in a clinical setting. I've learned so much about animal health and welfare, as well as practical skills in patient care and client communication.

Working on a horse yard has also been a fantastic experience. I take care of the horses by feeding, grooming, and exercising them, and I make sure to clean their stables and maintain the yard. This hands-on experience has taught me a lot about horse behavior, nutrition, and riding skills. I’ve come to appreciate the daily routines of horse care and the importance of building trust and rapport with these animals. Overall, each of these experiences has contributed to my understanding of animal care and welfare.
