Hi there 👋 I have recently moved to Belfast to pursue my PhD at Queen's. I am right in the centre of town and am happy to walk anywhere with easy access to public transport (unfortunately due to commission and bus costs I may charge extra to cover travel costs).
I am only available for drop in visits (companionship, feeding & walking (£13 x1 visit, £18 for x2 visits)), and overnight sittings (£40 per night) providing you are nearby to the university. Unfortunately, I am unable to keep animals in my own place as my apartment has a strict no pet policy (for now). I have much more flexibility at the weekends, but morning and evening pop ins are no problem during the week.
For home visits, I will stay a minimum of 30 minutes sometimes longer depending on your pet. For me, it is not just about making sure they have food and water. Animals are social creatures and need the company and some play time, which I am more than happy to oblige.
As for my personal experience, I have been offering my services as a pet sitter/dog walker for several years now. Beginning while I was studying in the UK but this really took off when I moved to NL where I did this part time during my studies and then became full time after I graduated.
My love of animals is something that drives me daily, especially within my studies. And I have spent the majority of my life surrounding myself with animals of all kinds. As for how I work, I will always request a meet and greet before taking care of your beloved animals, and while you are away I make sure to keep you updated and send pictures to give you peace of mind. I know how it feels to leave your beloved animals behind, so I am here to ease this process for you.
If you have any further questions for me, please do not hesitate to contact me.
I look forward to hearing from you :)
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Rea looked after our two cats while we were away for four days. Rea arranged to come visit before the booked period for a meet and greet with the cats and to chat about feeding requirements, visit times etc. which put us at ease and reassured us they were in safe hands. Our cats took to Rea very quickly, and communication was great throughout and they were very well looked after! We would definitely book Rea again ☺️
This was my first time using a sitter for my cat Bella, and Rea was brilliant! Bella is generally a very nervous cat who hides from strangers, but she totally came out of her shell with Rea and it made me very happy and gave me peace of mind to know that Bella was not only well looked after in terms of her basic needs but was also getting attention and affection while I was away. I'm already rebooking Rea for my next trip, and I'm really thankful to have found such a kind and reliable human to take care of my girl. Thank you!
