I'm Felicity, I have just finished my masters degree doing conservation biology at the university of Kent, I also studied marine biology at the university of Essex. I've always wanted to be a vet which I am still thinking of pursuing a career in.

I have walked dogs in the past for a dog walking company based in Colchester and wivenhoe and I’m looking for more wagging tails to fill my schedule. I am happy to follow your dogs schedule exactly as they used to, to make sure your dog is as happy as can be. A little about my pets: I have one domestic shorthair cats, and three tropical fish tanks.

I don't pair dogs up as I like to focus my attention on one dog while on the walk, this also minimises risk for your dog too! I have no problem with walking dogs from the same household or pairing up family/ friends dogs upon request.

With every walk I of course check and top up water, top up food (when necessary), and clean up any messes made before and after each walk. I do dog walks and check ins, cat check ins, small pet check ins, livestock check ins and fish feeding too! No pet is too big or small, I have experience with animals of all sizes.

Depending on where you are situated will depend on the walk I will take the dog on, wether it will be a woodland, field or beach walk, I will ensure they have time to run off that energy, if your dog can be let off the lead I have plenty of treats and a ball thrower ready in my car to help them run off that extra energy, for dogs that are kept on the lead I like to do some training if the owner requests or gives me the okay to do so, I may let them off in an enclosed area to help work on their recall, I will of course ensure there are no other dogs in the area before doing so and if this is not a possibility then I can take them on a jog/run to ensure they're well exercised.

It’s important to mention if the dog isn’t allowed specific treats or if there’s only certain treats they are allowed ie: high protein or vegan diets so I can cater to these requirements. I would of course need to know of any health conditions and if the dog is weary or reactive in response to the preference of other dogs, this won’t effect me taking on the walk it just helps me cater to your dogs needs.
