I work from home as a sustainability consultant and enjoy a healthy balance of work and travel. I am professional and responsible, but also friendly and adventurous. I love people and animals and exploring new places and lifestyles.
My motivation for pet sitting came as I was starting out my own business and I wanted to reduce my costs by housesitting for free on long term sits as opposed to reducing my travel and food budget! My family had always had cats and I'd missed having pets as a result of living in rented accommodation. It seemed like the ideal solution and it was!
I've "Pawshaked" in Stavanger, Norway and Congleton, Cheshire and moved to Scarborough in 2022. I rehomed two cats last year, which sadly means I can't have a dog, so kept up pet sitting as a means to have more pets if only on a part-time basis!
I'm happy to visit pets in their homes and I love playing with, and walking dogs and puppies.
I need to get away from my computer screen as often as I can!
I'm also keen on learning new dog training techniques and animal psychology and am happy to fit in with routines (however strange they might be!).

Anne looked after our 2 whippets when we were visiting Scarborough for a family event. It can be unnerving to leave your pets with someone, but the moment Anne came in we were totally put at ease. She is so friendly and kind, and the girls were completely comfortable in her care. We checked in with her in the evening and she sent us a photo of the girls chilling on the sofa!
We are really appreciative of Anne taking care of the girls as it allowed us to go and have a great time, safe in the knowledge that they were being well taken care of.

I have cared for my own home and those of friends/family for many years and began housesitting in 2015. I loved it so much that I house sat fulltime for a year and have made many pet friends!
I am responsible and caring, clean and respectful. I am a non-smoker and vegetarian. I have looked after a range of animals both personally and professionally (I have managed sites for nature conservation using sheep and ponies and taken care of injured fruit bats). I am comfortable taking care of challenging pets, training puppies or administering medication.
I am well traveled, speak several languages and am culturally sensitive. I am also self-sufficient and able to use good judgement.
