Hi 👋 I'm Margaret and in April 2026 I will be retiring as a police officer after 23 years service. I will have a lot of time on my hands, and can think of no better way to spend it than to make some new furry pals!

I have had 3 dogs of my own - Bonnie, a lazy little Cavalier King Charles Spaniel; Kelly, a collie type crossbreed; and latterly Diogo, a lab/collie cross. I love dogs and currently don't have one of my own due to work demands and that fact my cat probably wouldn't like it! I frequently "borrow" friends' dogs for walks and Parkrun. I prefer to do walks with just one dog so it has my full attention.

I have had cats since 1996, when a little stray girl came to our door and refused to leave. We called her Nermal, and she was the sweetest natured girl. After her, I had Mr Pookie - not quite so sweet but full of sass and cattitude! Then Wee Finnie, Arlo and now Ollie, a gentle affectionate mini panther. I know how stressful it is having to leave your cats if you need to go away. As such, I hope to be able to befriend your precious kitties while you take a hard earned break, or for whatever other reason. I am happy to follow to the letter your instructions, as i know how important routine is to cats. I am also happy to water plants, take bins out, and make sure there is some milk (for the humans!) cooling in your fridge for your return cuppa! 

I hope to get the opportunity to meet with you and your furry kids from April 2026 onwards, and thought I'd get my profile set up in case you are like me, and like to be well organised in advance!
