I run my own business and am self employed.
I love animals and working with them seems like a perfect fit and my idea of heaven.
As a child I would remember my mum telling me to stop touching the dogs that I would see tied up waiting for their owners outside every high street shop!
We had a dog at home and a cat and I saw no reason why all dogs were not to be snuggled and cuddled.
of course, I grew up and realised that you can't just touch every dog you see! I was just naturally drawn to them.
But the reason behind this story tells of my deep and true love for all animals but dogs in particular.
I was always confident around dogs as a child and I still am.
As a baby we had a Beagle, who would sit near my bed, I even, at one time sat on his head, but he didn't seem to mind!
As I got older, we had a Long Haired Daschund, Robbie and then we had Tommy the black and white cat to keep him company.
They were like two brothers together.
Then I left home and when Robbie died my heart broke. I recall crying all day at RTZ where I worked and my boss just not getting it but I shared my love of that little dog with my mum. As an adult, and living in London, I couldn't have dogs but I would often volunteer at The Mayhew Home in North London just to be around 'the animals".
I was lucky enough to live in Los Angeles and I so badly wanted a dog, my husband and I decided to adopt a Mini Schnauzer. She was called Molly and despite the fact that on moving back to the UK, we would need to put her into quarantine, we were prepared to pay the money but also we had no intention of leaving her behind. She was family.
In fact, we rather hoped that quarantine would be removed once we left, but it wasn't to be.
My Molly was a poppet and a handful (bless her). having been abused she wasn't the easiest of dogs to be around and I grew accustomed to her nervous ways.
I read all the books I could get my hands on and started to realise about how a dog needs a calm owner and they love routine.
Molly used to come to work with me on occasions but she and I were happiest walking for miles and miles on the weekends. Call me strange, but I would love to talk to her. She was more than a pet, she was my friend and I loved her dearly.
She accompanied us back to the UK and we had many happy years with her until 203 when she passed away.
In 2014 we got Gloria, or we inherited her, a Parsons Terrier.
She had a brilliant personality and I have to say, I've got quite a thing for Parsons now!
I have pet sit for many friends, and walked many including a lively Sprocker called Lilly who I regularly walk from Boscombe to Sandbanks and back, monitoring how many times she goes into the sea whilst I throw her the ball!
I am trustworthy, reliable and run my own small business helping people.
I am concientious and whatever you ask me to do I will do.
But above all, I will love your dog or pet like my own so that will mean snuggles (if they want them) and lots of walks and ball throwing (if required). I am mindful of eating habits and will stick to the rules of how you wish your pet to be looked after.
Above all, your animals will be safe in my hands.
