About Kate
Hello, my name is Kate. I'm 35 and work as an editor for a digital publishing company. I'm currently based in South Wales but grew up in the Irish countryside, where my family had many cats and dogs.
My Dad was a vet and my Mum used to be a veterinary nurse, so a love of animals is in my genes.
I'm drawn to petsitting as it gives me an opportunity to spend time with and care for animals while their beloved owners are busy or away. I also know how much easier it is to relax on a holiday when you know your pets are being well looked after at home!
A responsible, reliable, and trustworthy house-sitter and pet-sitter, I have looked after many dogs, cats, rabbits, and even a few birds in the past.
I also have lots of experience looking after rescue animals and those with separation anxiety. I always send lots of pictures so that owners can see how their pets are doing, to keep their minds at ease.
As I work from home, my time is very flexible, so I am lucky enough to be able to participate in Pawshake to both supplement my income and to get the chance to meet some lovely pets in my vicinity.

A massive thank you to Kate and Luke for looking after our 2 dogs Ralph and Sky and our house whilst my wife and I got married in Cyprus.
Kate was attentive from the first message and was happy to answer any questions we had as this was the first time we'd used pawshake.
When we had a meet and greet the dogs were loud as they usually were but soon took a shine to them and even more so on the 2nd meet where we went out for a little walk the day before we left.
The whole week we were away we received regular updates and pictures and the dogs looked so happy and well looked after.
When we arrived home from holiday we arrived into a spotless home and was left a lovely gift to congratulate us on getting married.
