Hi everyone! I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Canine and Feline Behaviour and Training up in York University in 2021, and I am now back home in Brighton and would love to look after some dogs over the summer. I am very experienced with working with dogs as I have volunteered for two years at the RSPCA animal shelter, so I am also used to working with nervous dogs. I also obviously spent a lot of time with dogs at University doing what I did, as they have their own kennels that I worked at whilst I was there, spending over 300 hours of work experience.
A few years ago, I volunteered at a dog sanctuary in Thailand, which had over 400 dogs! This was one of the best experiences of my whole life and learned so much! I am currently at a different dog sanctuary in Thailand, and will be heading back to England early December. I've been at this dog sanctuary for 2 months now and having the time of my life. The dogs here are amazing and I work with them 6 hours a day everyday, training them, walking them, feeding them etc. Dogs are my entire life so when I get back from travelling I will be applying for jobs working at dog rescue centres.
I also have experience with walking both big and small dogs, walking a huge variety at RSPCA and the kennels at University. My sisters both live very close to me and one has a rottweiler and the other has a staffie, I get to look after them all the time.
As I am just getting back from travelling soon, I won't have my own home for dogs to come to. happy so I am looking to stay at other people's houses and do some dog walking. My dog walks are usually between 45min- 1 hour, depending on the dog. I can do multiple dog walks a day. I am fully available all day and night as I would like to do dog sitting full time.
Please let me know if you have any questions, feel free to get in contact with me, thanks! :)
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
I can't recommend Gwen highly enough. She is clearly a dog lover and made the process really easy. Ursula had a great time. I'd definitely book with Gwen again :)
Gwen was great. From the first meeting it was obvious she has a rapport with dogs as Barney was very welcoming. She spent some great time with him and worked on his anxieties, even getting him down the stairs which he has been scared of. Gwen was flexible with the booking so highly recommended.
