Hi all,
My name is Lauren Sweeney & I am Registered Veterinary Nurse who graduated from the University of Bristol with First class Honours in Veterinary Nursing & Bioveterinary Science (BSc).
Through training and working as a Veterinary nurse I have learnt the best ways to care for our beloved animals, aiming to build trust with the animal and minimise fear and anxiety. This is something I take very strongly as it can be stressful for a pet to be left by themself, and as your pet sitter I will do my best to keep your animal as comfortable and happy as possible.
In my opinion, one of the best ways to keep your pets happy when you are away is to mimic the routine you follow at home with them. To get a better understanding of your pets day to day life, I offer a free meet up with you before the stay/visits, so that you can inform me of all relevant information and I can tailor my visits to suit your pets needs. As I am currently working full time in a Veterinary Hospital, I am part of a dynamic rota which changes regularly; therefore, I can be flexible with bookings but may not always be avaliable for repeat bookings on the same day/time each week.
I feel comfortable caring for many types of pets, including but not restricted to: cats, dogs, small furries and many exotics. I have also had two of my own rabbits as pets so I am aware of the different type of husbandry required for small exotics.
As a Registered Veterinary nurse, I would also be able to administer any medications your pet requires, follow a diet plan if your pet is on one, perform CPR & administer insulin for your diabetic pets. I understand how difficult it can be to leave your pets in the care of another individual, so hopefully I can put your mind at ease with my qualifications.
I will always aim to be a flexible pet sitter & will always try to accomodate special requests where possible.
Please don't hesistate to message me if you have any questions :)
Perfect!
I always feel assured that my cats will receive the best of care when I leave Lauren to take care of them. I have used other cat sitters who are just not as good. It’s the little things that make all the difference such as attention to details and bonding with my furry friends to meet their emotional needs as well as their physical needs. My oldest cat is over 19 and has a heart condition requiring medication and it is very assuring having Lauren look after her, and both my cats are always very happy when Lauren is taking care of them, so I’m happy.
Definitely one of the best pet sitters on Pawshake!
