Hi all! I'm Sophia, 30 years old and have just moved to Bristol recently. Hurray!
After quite a few moves in the last few years I have come to Bristol in the end of 2020 and have found a long term home in this beautiful city. I’ve recently graduated from a Bachelor of Psychology in Berlin and am now working freelance on different UX Design projects from home - all very flexible so I have plenty of space in the day to go for walks with my dog friends.
I used to work as a horse riding instructor at London's Hyde Park Stable and at Sydney's Centennial Park. While living in London I regularly looked after english pointer puppy Wallace and helped with his training and getting him used to everything a young dog needs to know in the big city. I found and adopted a very poorly and ill cat, took care of him and named him Rufus. He’s still happy as ever in the super loving long term home I found for him when I left London.
In Berlin I've looked after Lea the small crossbreed and went on long walks through the woods with her and after Lily the cat. I've been surrounded by animals all my life, all starting with my biggest love Emilio (a rabbit) who turned 12 years old; horses, cats, dogs...
The regular stays at farms close by with my family have definitely shaped me too - so if anyone has cows in need of cuddles or looking after please also get in touch, I’d love to be their friend :)
P.S we have a garden and are not far from Eastville Park & Greenbank cemetary and there's also an off leash area not far from mine.
Also: I only ever look after one dog at a time!
We were visiting Bristol for the day and we were lucky enough to book Sophia on the day to look after our dog while we visited the museums. In fact, she looked after Coco for a large part of the day, took her for a long walk and kept us updated with lots of photos. It was obvious that Coco had a great time as she was in no rush to leave when we picked her up. Many thanks once again xx
We felt so reassured leaving Scruff with Sophia. She was really great with him and he settled into her house well. It was his first time away from us and Sophia gave lovely updates. We could see he was really enjoying his time with her. Would highly recommend! Thank you for looking after Scruff so well.
I hold a trainer licence and regularly teach children and adults horse riding lessons
