*** Currently only taking dog walking jobs within BS13. House sitting jobs anywhere, depending on length of booking ***
I am an experienced dog walker and pet sitter. I have a BA in Childhood and Youth Studies, including a Certificate in Health and Social Care. I do find the skills picked up from these studies transferable to animal care.
I have chosen this area of work, because I enjoy the company of dogs and cats. Plus it enables me to keep fit fit whilst dog walking, or study quietly whilst pet sitting. Although I know how much cats love to sit on books and keyboards during study! Beethoven for cats on Youtube usually remedies this. From experience, I know that I am responsible with dogs, and have worked with dogs who are not great with other dogs/traffick/certain people. I always keep dogs on a lead, unless I know that dog and the surrounding livestock and wildlife inside out, and only with the owners blessing and no nearby traffic. I am responsible with cats too. I know that they run things.
I offer 30, 60 min or longer bookings for dog walks. I take one or two dogs, depending on size and how much they pull. I do not offer boarding, as my cat runs things and I won't put her nerves through it. But I do offer house-sitting whilst caring for your pets whilst you're away. So your house will not look empty, plants will be watered on instruction, curtains drawn, and your lovely pets will remain home. Pictured in my profile are some of the pets I have worked with on a repeat basis. I have not worked with the horse in my profile pic, or any horse. He just lives at the top of my road on the Dundry Slopes, where we have beautiful walks. I am familiar with all sides of Bristol and many of it's walks, probably local to you. I look forward to working with you and your pets.
Amazing - will definitely use Shirley again :)
