About Georgina
I am a recent masters graduate who has just moved to Bristol. All my life I have grown up with pets (dogs, cats, chickens, and horses) and love being around all animals. All our dogs have been rescues, so I have learnt to help train them and to earn their trust. The best part is getting to watch them come out of their shell and grow into happy playful dogs. At uni I house sat for friends and their cats, and walked several dogs regularly, looking after them for the day when their owners were unable to. I love meeting new pets, spending time with them and learning their personalities. Unfortunatley I currently can't have pets in my flat, so will only be able to offer services by coming to you.
I am available throughout most of the day. I am however job hunting, so will make sure that my availability is always up to date.
For home visits: I will stay with pets for as long as has been discussed or as long as my availability that day allows. I am happy to do any other small tasks that might be needed such as watering plants!
For dog walking: Length of walks will depend on your dog's needs and will happily discuss this during our first meet. Typically in the past the longest walk I have been able to do is an hour and a half. I have a car and am happy to take your pets for walks outside of Bristol. I love exploring and am looking forward to getting to know the area better!
For house sitting: If house sitting I will stay with the pets as much as possible and will discuss with you any plans that I have during that time that will require me to leave the house. As with home visits I am happy to do small tasks around the house, and will ensure that everything is kept clean and tidy. I am aware that many houses have their own little quirks (mine being one of them!) so please do let me know if this is the case. At present the maximum stay I will be able to do will likely be three nights.
Extra information:
- I have experience administering medicaiton.
- Our old family dog had diabetes and required daily injections which I gave her at both mealtimes.
- I have administered tablets in many forms (usually in cheese but will do whatever works best for your pet).
- I also have experience administering medication in the form of liquids orally via a syringe. I have done this for several different pets; our dogs, horses, and even on occasion a chicken.
- Training: If your dog is in the process of being trained please do let me know. While I have a basic understanding of training for certain commands, I have only ever helped my mum train our dogs and have never been solely responsible for their training. As such I am comfortable with certain training needs, but will have to discuss in more detail with you what these might be.
- Updates: with all my services I will ensure you have lots of updates! I know our pets are family to many of us and hope you will always feel comfortable knowing they are with me.
I aim to be as flexible and accomodating as possible for you and your pets and will do everything I can to meet all your needs :)
