Hi, I'm Sam! I'm a 25-year-old long-time animal lover and experienced house & pet sitter based in Port Talbot. 

Last year, I returned from an 8-month trip around Australia with my partner George, most of which we spent house & pet sitting for local people in the destinations we visited - it helped us to get experience under our belt, save money on hotels and get some cuddles in the absence of our own pets. It was an amazing experience and we're keen to continue keeping people's pets company when they need it now that I'm back home.

I've grown up with pets - dogs, cats, hamsters, chickens, fish... you name it - and currently have a border collie called Meg and a grey cat called Daisy, both six-years-old. I'm experienced in administering different types of medication and working with shy, energetic, anxious and complex animals, so I have become highly confident in what I do.

George and I are non-smokers, clean & tidy guests, and I'm a fully remote worker so can ensure your pets have all the company they require.

Note that George often joins me to help out on overnight sits where this is agreed with the pet owner but I'll be sure to confirm that this is okay on a case by case basis. 

My services

🐾Overnight house & pet sitting (at pet's home) - including plant watering, mail collection and household maintenance. Both long and short term sits available

🐾Dog walking - for as long as the dog requires and at location local to the dog's home (at the dog's favourite walk locations if desired)

🐾Day visits (full day care or quick feeding visits) - including plant watering and mail collection l

🐾Day care (approx 9-5 but timing is flexible - note that Pawkshake says this takes place at the sitter's home, but I offer pet day care from the pet's home only

Unfortunately I'm currently unable to host pets at my home, but I'm hoping this situation will change in the near future

💬"The whole process with Sam and George can be summarised in one word, "easy". They were a dream to have come sit our 2 cats and 2 chickens. They were great communicators, left the house cleaner than they found it, and even took the liberty of washing their bedding (which we didn't ask them too, and was a very nice gesture!). They were great with communication the whole way through, sent us update photos during their stay and let us know when they had locked up and left. Coming home to a clean house and 2 VERY happy cats was a fantastic finish to our holiday. On a logistics note, they were happy to adhere to our feeding schedule for the cats, and kept the chickens water and feed full. It was clear to see the cats had been given ample play time and were not devoid of affection one bit. Also, they emptied/refreshed the litter box, and set out the cat food before they left so we wouldn't have to, which was awesome.
