I've been around dogs my whole life - my parents have always had dogs when my sister and I were growing up, from Greyhounds to Labradors and, more recently, no less than 6 flatcoated retrievers (and a Parson's terrier for my mother!) I love spending time with them whether it's on a shoot, in the hills on Dartmoor or in front of the fire in the living room.
My sister has recently gotten a wire haired Dachshund called Luna who is my honorary niece - she doesn't like just anyone so I take it as a compliment that she loves me! My sister thinks I visit her in London to see her, but the reality is I want to see Luna.
My wife and I would love a dog of our own, but we both work and neither of us are home enough, so we've got an Exotic Short Hair cat called Tilly, who, whilst amusing to look at, also loves being around people (men in particular...) and she's been an invaluable addition to the household. Just a shame we can't take her out on walks with us!
I'm an airline pilot by profession and it's very seasonal/on demand work but I have quite alot of time off at once, and what better way to spend it than with a pet! Big, small, loud, quiet, active, passive; I've experienced it all!
Services are home visits (feeding, changing litter, playing, or just keeping them company!) and walking. I can do two hours a day, for example a two hour home visit or a two hour walk, or one hour of each!
