I have recently taken early retirement from teaching and now want to combine my love for dogs and countryside walks by offering a real home-from-home boarding and day care service for your pets.
We have a three bedroomed house with fenced garden in Cliviger, near Burnley, where my husband and I live without our own pets, so there is plenty of space and we are able to devote all our attention to your pets.
My husband and I have been house sitting pets for a couple of years and have completed over 18 sits, so I thought the next natural step would be to offer a home boarding and sitting at our own house.
We have been inspected by the Council and are licensed by them to provide home boarding, being rated Four Star Higher Standard (Licence No. AWL0004). I have a Level 3 qualification in Canine Care, Behaviour and Welfare, and a Level 2 qualification in Canine First Aid. We are also insured to provide this service.
We accept vaccinated dogs and only take up to three dogs at a time, all from the same household, so you know that your pets will have individual attention within their small family unit. Our preference is for small and medium sized dogs, although well behaved large dogs will be considered. We do not feel protective or guard dog breeds are a good match for us.
I aim to give your dog the best possible stay in a loving and safe home environment.

Highly recommend Esther and Martin. My little one loves people but is often anxious going into someone else's home and even more so being left there. However, even on the meet and greet, Lexi was so relaxed with Esther & Martin that she was happy to go off exploring and have some cuddles. They somehow put Lexi instantly at ease. And I was very reassured with all the measures they've taken to keep dogs staying there safe.
When it came to the stay, they were extremely accommodating with some changes due to Lexi being unwell. I had regular updates and photos to let me know how she was getting on. Despite still being unwell, Lexi came home having clearly had a great day, even happier than when she left! I couldn't ask for a better dog sit and will definitely be using them again.
