Hi, I'm Caroline. I'm a full time house-and pet-sitter and part-time writer and psychotherapist. I'm fit, conscientious and vigilant, with a love of all animals. These days I mostly take care of cats.

If you're planning on going away for three weeks or longer and you're concerned about leaving your pets and home, let me deputise for you while you're away. I've been housesitting for owners of substantial rural and village properties for four years and have more than 30 five-star reviews.

Caroline is a lovely person and an amazing house sitter. We have no hesitation in recommending her to others. Caroline looked after Millie our border terrier and our house for 2 months. Millie loved her, she is so kind and caring. During her stay we had storms and Caroline coped well with any problems. She even picked us up and cooked us a meal on our return.

Caroline was an extremely conscientious house sitter, and looked after our old family home really well. Cello, our two year old labrador looked the picture of health when we returned so obviously had been very well cared for. She regularly kept in touch regarding the house or Cello, often with photos. While you're away, you want to feel confident that a mature and practical person is looking after your home and keeping your beloved pets safe and well. As a property owner for 35 years myself, I understand how reassuring it is to know that the right person is there on the spot. Someone who can deal with whatever life and nature throws at them, from builders, vet visits and boiler issues, to leaks, floods and fallen trees.

We love having Caroline to stay with our kitties, it is such a comfort going away knowing that she is looking after Sid and Archie and our house. The cats are very happy in her company and she keeps a close eye on both of them throughout her stay. Caroline was actually stuck at the house for 24 hours due to fallen trees blocking our road and she dealt with it all with great equanimity. She is a star, and we are delighted that she has become a friend to us as well as to our kitties. We would not hesitate to recommend her as a sitter.

Hebe clearly adored her and our only worry was that she would sneak into her car when she left! Caroline had no problems running our house, which is not straightforward being quite old. On our return she had cooked us a delicious supper and we found the house to be in apple pie order.We would have no hesitation in recommending her as a reliable 5* sitter.

❤️ The creatures

As well as keeping your home tidy and secure, making sure your pets are safe, loved and healthy is my top priority. I've cared for many animals, furry, feathery and finned, and quickly forge a strong bond with them. Any cuddle is a good cuddle.

I prefer to look after cats these days and enjoy giving them focused attention. I have a special affinity with mid-life and older pets and love chilling at home with them, once we've had a good play/brush/cuddle. I'm happy to give medication but would prefer not to be a full-time vet nurse.

Our cat Rum has awarded Caroline his "cat sitter's Gold medal" - she rapidly developed an understanding with him and he was clearly very contented when we returned home. She didn't hesitate to contact us with any significant issues that arose and the house was clean and tidy, having been looked after with care in our absence.

From the moment Caroline applied for our sit her calm and confident manner allayed our fears. She managed a couple of health issues that arose with our eldest cat with compassion and care and sent us regular updates on her progress. Our boys who have never been lap cats were joining the queue every night behind Poppy to get some Caroline lap time and cuddles.
