About Me
After graduating with an English Literature and Drama degree from in 2017 I was unsure what path to take, so I travelled to Vietnam to teach English for 6 months. Having just got back I am looking to start a career in Publishing as books have always been a passion of mine. Another passion of mine is animals. Anyone who knows me will tell you that I was the nerd who memorised the dog breed book when I was little because I wanted a dog so badly! I have always owned cats and know that nothing beats the feeling of coming home from a long day for a furry cuddle! I believe I am an easy-going, caring person and would love to help out you and your furry friends any way I can.
Why I want to pet sit
As I have said before I've always owned cats but forever craved the responsibility of owning a dog. I have always begged to walk friends' dogs and have discovered that I am actually pretty adept at it. Despite my love of dogs you will always hear me rave about the silly things that my cat has done today. I have a love for all things furry. As I am in the process of applying for internships I need a job with flexible hours so I can still attend interviews. And what's more perfect than earning a
bit of money by doing something that I've always loved. Having been in Vietnam and seen kittens and puppies stuffed in cages waiting to be sold, I have realised how lucky our animals are and would love to do everything I can to keep it that way.
My animal experience
I have always owned cats so am particularly experienced in knowing what is needed to look after them, whether they are young, old, shy or boisterous. I understand that each feline is different and needs to be treated as such, but am happy to play with, cuddle or do whatever to suit your cat's needs.
Despite never owning a dog myself I have a lot of experience in puppy sitting and dog walking. Like I say as an avid dog lover I have had to search for ways to get my dog fix outside of my own home. My boyfriend owns two gorgeous pups (Daschund and Jack Russell) that I love to walk and play with, and who I've watched grow and develop over these past 3 years. I also have experience in looking after bigger dogs, as I used to walk my friend's Labrador regularly as well as caring for her Cockapoo puppy on their holidays.
I understand that it is hard to leave your pet in a stranger's care, so am willing to set up a meet up before the actual date. I will update you with photos of your pet and keep you posted on our adventures. Sadly my own cat does not get on well with others (she craves all of my attention) so I cannot have your beautiful beasts over to stay, but am excited to meet and greet at yours whenever!
If you want someone who is full of enthusiasm and loves the responsibility of caring for furry friends, then do not hesitate to contact me.
Lucy was wonderful! My Yorkshire Terrier is a rescue so can be a bit shy and reluctant around new people. Lucy was patient and kind with her - and kept me up to date with messages and photos.
Lucy took care of my cat over christmas periode (for 2 weeks)
It was the first time I was letting lilou alone that long with a pet sitter
Lucy was amazing, it was very easy to communicate and organise the firsts visits
She gave us regular news and when I came back I found a happy cat who had a lovely time over christmas
I highly recommend her
