Hello!

I'm Claire, I'm a researcher at the University of Oxford. I come from Germany and France but have moved around quite a bit. I was raised in a household with a golden retriever who we absolutely adored and I walked/fed/took care of him from a young age. In 2013 we fostered a few dogs in Singapore and adopted one, he's the one who looks a bit like a jack russell terrier in the photos. I really want to take care of pets again as I miss living in a home with animals and would provide excellent care and would treat them like my own. I have a variety of skills based on my experience: dealing with a range of dogs, from very easy-going to having to manage dogs that aren't fond of other animals or people and training dogs with seperation anxiety. I am also experienced in taking care of cats and have done overnight catsitting and home visits for a range of cats who are social or shy and need some care and playtime while their families are away.

Services I offer for dogs:
Dog walking: I would walk your dog/s for at least 45 minutes or more depending on your preferences and take pictures. I pick them up and drop them off at your home and can top up water/food and clean/brush them at the end of walks.
Home visits: I can come to your home during the day or evenings and check in on your pet for a minimum of 45 minutes per visit though am happy to stay for longer if needed, I would play with them a little, make sure they go out in the garden if needed and top up water/food and give medication and send you a picture.
Day dogsitting: I can spend half days or full days (4-10 hours) (also open to hourly) in your home with your dog, this would involve playing with them, making sure they have everything needed, taking them on 1 or 2 walks (>30 mins each) and I would send pictures and track the walks. I would also be able to train them for separation anxiety by doing graded exposure to alone time with me leaving and coming for increasing amounts of time.
Overnight dogsitting: I would spend the evening to morning in your home and go to work during the daytime and would fully take care of your dog, including walking them as often as required, feeding them, playing with them, giving medications if required and training (including separation anxiety) and would brush/clean them.

Services I offer for cats:
Home visits: I can come to your home during the day or evenings and check in on your pet for a minimum of 45 minutes per visit though am happy to stay for longer if needed, I would play with them a little, make sure they go out in the garden if needed and top up water/food and clean their litter trays/anything else that needs to be cleaned and give medication and send you pictures.
Overnight catsitting: I would spend the day and night in your home and would fully take care of your cats, including feeding them, playing with them, giving medications if required and would brush/clean them and would send pictures/videos.

I have completed a DBS check. I work in Headington most week days from 9-5 pm and do 1 or 2 days a week from home so have some flexibility during the daytime with walks and home checks and can also work from your home if overnight sitting. I am available morning, afternoons and evenings. I would meet you and your pet without payment the first time to see whether they like me!
