About Abbi
I am a newly graduated student (with upper second class honours) in Biomedical Science (Hons) from the University of Manchester. I am a huge animal lover and am very I am applying for the Graduated Accelerated Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019. I have a huge huge passion for animals and a very dedicated and enthusiastic worker. I have had previous experience working at vet clinics and farms over the past 2 months; in particularly Barton Veterinary Hospital and Surgery.
In addition to experiences and my passion relating to animals; my recent final year research-based project during my degree was on the topic of diseases (such as hip and elbow dysplasia) related to canine brachycephaly. This has further motivated me to help dogs of such breeds and to increase awareness of the poor quality of life relating to brachycephalic canine breeding.
I have a huge back garden that is suitable for pets to roam around and play. My neighbour's ginger cat loves it so much that he is a regular visitor of the garden! I love all sorts of animals; even the odd exotics! I am currently not working and live alone, hence I would love to earn a little money on the side with the company of animals. As mentioned above, I have lived and worked in a farm for a fortnight. I am no stranger to manual labour and the odd mucking out of poo!

Abbi was great at making our whippet feel at ease in a new home and took great care of her. Coco looked happy and relaxed in the photos Abbi sent us and got some exercise too.
She is clearly very calm and gentle with animals and we recommend her highly.

Abbi looked after our two big, rowdy dogs for the day. She was all in one piece when I collected the them, so I'm sure she can handle anything. The dogs has a great time by the looks of it too.
