Ellen and I are both professionals in the charity sector and public sector, respectively. Ellen works Monday to Friday 9-5 and works at home 80% of the time so can be very flexible with taking care of pets and making your arrangements her priority. I work shifts, 6 days on & 4 days off. I find myself having lots of free time during my days off, and my shift work also allows me free time before and after work.
We live together on the outskirts of Newport and have rescued a little pet ourselves in 2021. Ellen has lived in the South Wales area for 10 years and I am local so have a good knowledge of the area. Myself and Ellen are currently the parents to a spoilt little ginger cat called Marvin. We have both lived with a number of different types of cats and dogs throughout our childhood and adulthood. We are both very comfortable around animals and love to entertain and play with them. With recent lockdowns and general rules we have found ourselves having more time on our hands and are therefore looking to share our love for pets by hopefully giving a helping hand to local owners, keeping their little loved ones safe and giving them the company they deserve :)
We have been pet sitting for friends and family over the last few years so are well aware of the requirements and standards that pet parents expect. We are able to offer home visits and drop ins and will be totally honest about what we can offer for the dates you require, and do our best to accommodate. We are able to accommodate mornings, lunch, or evenings on most days.
In terms of what we can offer, we can;
- Drop in and spend up to an hour with your pet on each visit (2 per day)
- Feed and water them
- Play with them
- Groom them
- Clean litter trays and food bowls
- Water plants
- Pick up post
- Send photos and updates
We will not be able to take any pets in to our own home unfortunately.
We would encourage a free Meet & Greet prior to looking after any little ones to give owners the comfort that we are the right fit for your pets.
