Hello! I’m Claire- I live in East Belfast, just off the Newtownards Road.

While I’m new to PawShake, I’ve been pet sitting for over 5 years. I’ve looked after a wide range of animals- from cats and dogs to reptiles, tortoises, birds, hamsters and fish.

My Experience

I have grown up with cats all my life. I have had semi feral, elderly with dementia, to my current lil 1 year old half ragdoll called Birdie💕

Alongside pet sitting, I’ve also volunteered with two animal welfare organisations, which gave me great experience with animals that need a little extra care.

At The Barn Animal Rescue, I mainly cared for cats- giving medication, working with kittens, helping elderly or disabled cats, and supporting special diets and medicated baths. I also walked dogs at the shelter, many of whom were high-energy and needed structured exercise and stimulation.

More recently, I’ve been volunteering with Rosie’s Trust, supporting pets whose owners are going through cancer treatment and end of live care. This involved walking, feeding, and providing companionship so pets can stay at home with their owners for as long as possible.

These roles have helped me build confidence in working with animals that may have health needs, behavioural quirks, or specific routines😌

A Bit About Me

I work from home, have flexible hours, and I drive- so I can fit visits around you and your pet’s schedule! I’m also confident giving medication and maintaining basic coat care.
