Hi, I'm Penny. My passion for animals has led me to start a new carer in the pet sitting world. Animals are a huge part of my life and I hope you'll give me the chance to share my enthusiasm, knowledge and love for them with you.

About me🙋

I'm 54, married and have one grown up son. Despite having worked in care for the last 30yrs, animals have always been my passion. As a child we had tortoise's, guinea pigs, birds and cats. I did work experience in a stables and a vets. I left school and started work but animals still remained my passion. I took riding lessons in my spare time and loved to hack out. When I got married and left home we welcomed our first dog, a beautiful cocker spaniel called Winston. This started our love for this wonderful breed. We had our son in this time too and he was brought up loving animals. I also embarked on a dog grooming course which I did on my days off. I passed this & continued grooming my own dog along with family and friends ones. My love for dogs grew and I learnt as much as I could about different breeds. I volunteered at our local RSPCA branch for 8 months, where I helped look after many different types of small animals including some exotics and wildlife. I rehomed some too, mainly small furries like guinea pigs , hamsters and my first rat. We lost our first dog at 15 yrs old, then eventually we got our second cocker spaniel called Wilson. I joined an online spaniel group which I have learnt so much from. I continued to have many small furries, a couple of budgies and fish. I also helped my brother adopt a beautiful dog from Spain. After loosing our second dog last year and now my work life in care has changed , I found myself with the time able to do what I've always wanted to & work as a pet sitter in my own time and to my own schedule. 

My Services

Pop in service 🏠🐶🐱

  I offer a pop in & out service, once or twice a day. This would include feeding, cleaning up, letting out & giving company, cuddle and play where desired. This can be tailored to individual needs. 

Pop in service for seniors and those with disabilities.

I also offer this service to senior citizens, those with disabilities and anyone struggling who needs extra help with their pets whilst at home at a reasonable rate. 

Dogs/Dog walking 🐕‍🦺🚶‍♀️

Im happy to walk small to medium dogs as part of my home visits or as a separate arrangement depending on the circumstances. This would be on lead only. I'm happy to take them in my car if they travel well. I have a large car with a big boot and dog guard. I'm happy to look after big dogs in their homes and play in the garden. I'm happy to provide some basic grooming and lots of cuddles. 

Cat's 🐱

 I love kitties and I'm happy to do all that is needed to keep them happy. I'm happy to groom, stroke , cuddle anything really that they desire 👑

Small animals 🐹🐰🐭

 I'm happy to feed, handle & clean out small furries. I've had alot of experience with Guinea pigs and hamsters over the years. I also had a rescued rat. I'm happy to groom long haired ones if needed. I'll handle any small furries and obviously clean out hutches and cages.

Birds🐦🦜

 I'm happy to look after any birds and  will do all that needs to be done for them to be happy. 

Any other pets🐓🦎🦆🕷️🐟

I'm happy to look after most other pets but obviously this would be open to my discretion. Please feel free to ask.

House sitting 🏠

I'm offering a full house sitting service which would allow your pets to stay in the comfort of their own home. I will literally step into your shoes and follow all their normal routines as set out by you. I'm happy for your dog or cat to sleep with me if that's what they like. They'll get as much stimulation as they want. I'll update you with photos, videos and messages a plenty. I'll look after your home and pets as if they were my own. I'll water plants, pick up mail, generally keep an eye on things and give you peace of mind that someone is there. If you've been away, I'll even make sure the essentials are in the fridge, we all need a cuppa on our return ☕. I have an advanced DBS which I can provide as well.

  Please note

As before mentioned in my dog walking section, I am unable to walk large dogs. I am more than happy to play with them in their own garden to offer the exercise they need. There maybe the possibility that my husband could help out with walking when he's not working but this isn't guaranteed.

Multiple pet household 

There will be an additional fee for multiple pets on top of the base price listed. I'm happy to come to an arrangement at the time of enquiry.

Other services I offer

Medication 💊

I have experienced many pet illnesses over the years with my own animals and am confident that I can deal with most things that come my way and I'm happy to learn if I don't already know how. I'm confident in giving medication where needed in any form.

Transport to the vets or groomers 🚘

I also offer the above service for anyone who has a transport problem. This can be especially difficult for those with disabilities or for senior citizens. This would be a bespoke service and cost would be arranged depending on an individual's need. Please feel free to contact me for a chat.

Grooming ✂️🚿

I qualified as a groomer many years ago. Although I don't offer a full grooming service now, I am still happy to do basic grooming when I visit or stay with your pet. I'm happy to groom any animal that needed it.

First aid & insurance 📄🚑

I have completed my first aid and feel able to deal with most situations should they arise. If I am in doubt over anything my first port of call would be the vets. I have my insurance ready to go.
