I am an animal lover and have been all my life.
I grew up in the countryside and was lucky enough to have dogs, cats, horses and rabbits throughout my childhood and teenage years and as soon as I got married and was able I had three crazy spaniels and a horse of my own again.
As you can imagine, that was quite the combination and took up a lot of time and energy but we loved every second of it and wouldn’t have had it any other way. The spaniels were part of the family and came everywhere with us, including many happy caravaning holidays down in Cornwall.
Since then, I have continued to dog and horse sit for various friends and family and currently live with 3 elderly Jack Russell, a lovely but timid rescue golden retriever and a one eyed very cheeky miniature poodle. They are all very friendly and full of character are much loved members of our slightly mad but very happy family.
I am responsible and fully invested in really getting to know whatever animal I am entrusted to look after and look forward to meeting some new furry friends.
I offer long or short walks depending on the size and energy of my charge. I also offer lots of love and playtime, but am respectful of those shyer animals who are overwhelmed by too much.
My aim is to get to know each pet in my charge so I can adapt a care plan accordingly and build up trust and a bond.
I am happy to administer any oral medication needed and have a strong skill set and understanding of traumatised or lacking in training animals and endeavour to work with them to resolve these issues.
Rebecca has looked after Jess the cockapoo impeccably. Professional and kind care given. I thoroughly recommend her
Rebecca appears very attentive and at this point I don’t think there is anything as The meet and greet went really well and Barney appeared really relaxed.
