I've recently bought my first home with my husband, which has enabled us to finally become not just pet sitters but pet owners, and we're now the proud slaves (!) of an 18-month-old rescue moggie named Odo, who is extremely cuddly and loves to play.
I always jump at the chance to spend time with other people's pets, of whatever size, shape or age, especially my brother in law's guinea pigs Gizmo and Eddie, and my mum's border collie Sashie. I'm happy to look after smaller (or larger!) pets in the home, whether it's just popping in to feed them and empty a litter tray, or staying to give them a bit of company, and I love dog walking as well. I only walk dogs from one household at a time, as I want to make sure they get plenty of attention. I wouldn't label myself as either a cat person or a dog person - I love them both!
I work from home full time (even when we're not in lockdown!) so I'm flexible with time during the week and generally free at weekends. House sitting is an option as I can work from anywhere as long as there's an internet connection! My husband is also a pet lover so he sometimes helps me out, especially with overnight stays. I've got lots of enthusiasm and love to share, so your pets won't lack attention when I'm there :)
Our cat is very shy, but did at least come out to see Katherine on occasion, which was good to see in the photos. We were happy to hear she was eating pretty normally while we were gone, as well. Getting messages from Katherine was reassuring to us to hear how our cat was coping. Thank you so very much, Katherine!
Thank you for taking such good care of Izzy. She definitely misses you!
