Hello my name is Julie and I am an experienced pet sitter with all kinds of animals (puppies, dogs, cats, kittens, chickens, guinea pigs, chinchillas, ponies, horses, sheep and parrots!)I have also looked after baby ducklings and baby chicks as I often do farm or small holding sits.
I have been pet and house sitting for a number of years now both, locally and further afield through various online pet sitting sites. The many completed and successful sits all over the UK have given me excellent reviews and a good reputation and profile. Often I am asked to do repeat sits as the owners are so happy with the way their pets have been cared for and their home looked after. It's always nice to do this especially if I have bonded well with the pets which is often the case.
I have enough experience and a calm, patient nature to care for anxious, insecure animals.l have owned several pets over the years, rescue dogs, and I inherited 6 lovely cats when I met my husband!
I just enjoy spending quality time with animals, getting to know their individual characters, giving them attention and lots of tlc. My reviews endorse my success and you can relax knowing your pet is in safe hands and your home well looked after. I have an enhanced DBS and I am first aid trained.
I am happy to sit in your home caring for your pet in his/her own familiar environment. (As my partner Jonathan and I run our own successful pet sitting business too, he will sometimes accompany me on visits or sits. We work as a team when he is available. He is also police checked and has many excellent pet sitting reviews online and can be included in the initial meet up if required.

Julie is very professional and a pleasure to do business with.
Lassie is very relaxed in her company and I am happy to leave her in Julie's care.
Sadly we weren’t made aware that it wouldn’t be Julie walking our dog but her partner and he had never met our dog or us. We only know that it was her partner not her because our neighbour, who was keeping an eye on our house, let us know. She didn’t come at the agreed time in the morning (8-8.30am) but after 9am. Despite asking for WiFI details to provide updates we didn’t receive any update on the first day and communication was poor. She also wanted us to leave her teabags (which we did) so she could make and drink a cup of tea during her 1/2h walking visit.
Reply from Julie:
This owner left her dog whilst she went abroad to France with her boyfriend. It was agreed beforehand for my partner (who is also a pet sitter) to help with some of the 30 minute walks. I was given her Wi Fi code so that I could update her on her dogs welfare whilst at her house. The dog was walked for longer than agreed as a big dog needs more exercise than half an hour twice a day.As discussed previously I stayed at the house afterwards for a little while on some days to give the dog company. On just 2 of the 9 days I made a cup of tea AFTER the walk with provisions left for me as agreed.I arrived slightly later than arranged as the house was on a main road opposite a very busy primary school with many families and dogs right outside the house. As Jim was reactive with other dogs this seemed the sensible option and it worked well.Communication was extremely poor with this owner not responding to the many photo updates (16 in total) I sent to her. She also did not respond to my last message asking what to do with her house key. This owner complained about her dog's care from the 2nd day of her holiday. She also messaged mea few times after she returned. I am more than confident I did a good job caring for Jim. He was fed, exercised and well cared for. He was happy and content when I left the house which is the main thing.
