Hello! Thanks for visiting my profile. Here's a little information about me: mid-thirties, over-educated and under-socialised, currently spending most of my time at home after moving to the area for my partner's job. I am an artist predominantly working with photography, illustration, and writing.
Above all, my passion is taking care of animals, especially cats. Usually I have a cat on my lap or, more often than is helpful, sitting on my laptop, my shoulder, or wrapped around my neck. I am well aware that they are fickle, fickle, creatures and mostly would very much like their food, thank you very much, or for you to scratch an itch they can't quite get to. However, I know that they can also get lonely (remarkably and without admitting it!), so I am happy to play with them or simply sit with them if required, on my lap if they like. It's up to you to let me know what kind of personality your pet has so I can adapt to how I act with them. My cat likes me to sing to her, yours might try to kill me if I start to warble...I'd appreciate a warning. Overall, I’m pretty popular with cats.
I am able to provide feeding, company, and playtime service for cats, as well as a feeding and walking service for dogs. As I am currently a cat owner, I am well accustomed to their...shall we call them...'nuances'? I can clean up their litter trays if required, change their water, attempt to approach them with a brush, and be a presence in the house for half an hour to an hour or so if you are away and not just at work. These are all details we can discuss during our initial meeting.
I'm not currently the owner of a dog but have been in the past (sad face) and also appreciate they have almost totally different requirements than cats, other than chin tickles, food and water. If you are very local we can discuss multiple visits in one day and any other needs of your pet. I don’t just turn up and refill food bowls for your pets. I will spend up to an hour with them, depending on their needs. If they will sit on my lap or play for an hour then I will be there. If they are maxed out from my attention after 45 mins (quite a common cut off point, I’ve learned!), I’ll usually leave them to it. Just let me know what you and they need. If you are away I will also turn lights on/off, draw curtains etc as required.
If you are looking for some to literally drop in, feed, water, litter tray clean, and a quick hello, I can offer you a discount.
Looking forward to hearing from you!
Lucy is amazing - Po (our miniature labradoodle) isn’t the easiest - she can be a bit anxious but Lucy has built up a brilliant rapport with her, to the extent that Po pins her down for cuddles after every walk!! Lucy is super reliable (even in the grottiest of weather!!) and always sends pictures and updates. 5 star!
Lucy was the perfect sitter, I couldnt of asked for better! I didn't think my stubborn cat would come out to play but how wrong was I, picture evidence told me otherwise whilst I was away. My trip away was a lot more enjoyable knowing my cat was in safe hands and also enjoying herself, not hiding away having a stranger come to visit her everyday which I thought she would. Lucy kept in contact after each visit with how things were back home which was lovely. I would definitely recommend I will definitely be booking again on my next trip away - my cat will insist! Thank you Lucy 😊
