About Anita
Hey! I am Anita, a mother of two children, Masters student in Dietetics and a part-time healthcare worker. We live with four lovely cats, including a Bengal, a tortoise-shell cat and kittens from the same litter.I have done pet sitting for 6 years now as I love animals and I enjoy their company! Animals bring so much happiness and laughter in our lives and I could not imagine not having any pets 😺.
I do house visits when owners are away and have looked after cats, rabbits, dogs and parrot. My services depend on the individual needs of the owners and their pets, I understand routines are very important and every pet is different. I normally feed the pets, groom them, play with them and do personal care for them (e.g. cleaning cat litter box etc.). I also enjoy taking dogs out for their walks and going for long adventures! I also have private insurance and I am DBS checked.
I have had cats for the past 30+ years, and I am passionate about animal welfare. Pets really do become a part of your family and that is why it is so important that they are looked after with loving care even when they are cared for by someone else! My own cats are now 8 years, 1 and under 1, they were all rescued from different charities. We were lucky to have our previous senior cats to live until 14 and 15 years. One of them, Romeo, had been deaf since his birth so I understand how to look after pets with hard of hearing. Nero had thyroid problems and needed medication. I'm used to giving medication to other pets as well if required.
I fostered cats at our home for Cats Protection in 2019-2020, and found it a privilege to care for these cats before they moved to their forever homes. It is in our dreams to have a dog when our children are a bit older.
