My name is Alex. I am currently studying a dog training qualification. This course is with the Dog Training College and covers multiple areas such as dog first aid, breed types, dog body language and senses, loose lead walking, puppies, principles of training, training theories development and wellness of dogs, enrichment and much more. During my time studying this course, I also got my own puppy, Wilf. This is when I really decided that working with dogs was something I wanted to do. I have done all of the training with Wilf from the day he came home and he is doing really well. I have also completed a Level 3 qualification in Canine First Aid to ensure any dogs I walk or care for can be kept safe at all times and I have the full knowledge of what to do in rare circumstances where a dog may need first aid. In the future, I plan to do further courses to support me and gain as much knowledge and experience while I am doing this.

I have looked after many dogs for other people before and after I got Wilf. This included daycare, walks, days out and sometimes boarding. Before I had my own dog, I also volunteered at a few different rescue kennels to help give those dogs the best lives possible in the sad circumstances they were in which included cleaning out the kennels, feeding and walking the dogs.

I have always love being outdoors and walking and had a passion for doing this with dogs (the best companions) and I now want to put all of my time and effort into working with dogs and giving them the most fun, happy and loving time while they are with me. I pride myself on treating all dogs with the respect, love and care that they deserve.

I am located in Barnsley and I am available Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays and also most weekends.

I do only accept vaccinated dogs and I want to ensure the safety of all dogs I work with, including my own.
