My name Is Lottie. I am 23 years old. I live in Telford and I am a passionate animal lover by heart. I have had previous experience working within a kennels, I have volunteered in an animal welfare Centre during my time in college, and I have had previous experience in walking dogs including my own dog buzz who is an old boy now. I have experience in walking dogs and feeding. I have changed litter trays and washed them, played with dogs and providing the correct enrichment. I have also had experience looking after cats as part of volunteering in an animal welfare Centre. I want to give pets the opportunity to have exercise, good company and bulld a connection with them. This is my first time with looking after people's pets, however I am a quick leaner and I am willing to try my very best. Unfortunately I am unable to drive currently so I am only offering services to people who I can visit their houses and either pet sit or walk their dogs or look after cats. The way that I handle different pet personalities is that that I try to stay calm, create a bond and trust and i am very patient. In terms of safety, if the dog is known to bite, I will avoid prevoking that behaviour by not touching the pet, let the pet come to me instead of me going towards the animal. For difficult behavior, I will ask the owner what they would do if the pet displays difficult behaviour. With the length of the walk, I can walk from 30 minutes to an hour depending on the size of the dog. I will be able to manage from small dogs to medium dogs. From working within the kennels I was given health and safety training. I have a diploma in animal care both btec and level 3. And i have completed my zoology degree. My routines would involve going to the clients house, asking what the client would like, then I would carry out the duties. I have good management skills, I am punctual, always reply as fast as I can if a customer gets in touch, I am good with communication. The way that I would communicate with clients is either by WhatsApp, messages or email. I am quick at replying. To keep pet owners up to date, I will keep a diary or what I did and show the owner pictures of the pets as well such as house sitting and walking. I have handled many types of animals before from dogs to reptiles. In case of an emergency, I would need the pet owners number and an emergency number. I am good at creating bonds with the animals and and making connections. I am good with walking, feeding, changing cat litter and giving the animals water and making sure they get food exercise and enrichment. To ensure the pets safety while out on a walk, if there is a other dog for example with tricky behaviour I will avoid going near the other dog to avoid conflict and to prevent my clients pet to come into harm.
