About Cyndee (she/her)
Like many pet-sitters, I don't just throw biscuits and run!
🐈✨❄️ September 2025: December holiday bookings are now open! Save your space early. Preference will be given to those living in easy walking or bus distance from where I live or other cat-sits.
🐈 ✨ June 2025: Hello!
I am now available for pet-sitting in Edinburgh. I've been a professional cat-sitter for over five years. I've been living abroad for the last few years and my profile here at Pawshake hasn't been active for a while because I've had numerous private clients gained mainly through word of mouth and my own marketing. (In addition to the older reviews here, I will soon be able to provide more recent ones on request.)
I'm available in Edinburgh and beyond (within reason!), with preference to anywhere within a 15-minute walk from Leith Links/Lochend Park.
If you've questions, do please ask. I look forward to hearing from you. Cheers! 😺😺

Hello!
What I Offer:
Hello there. I can usually come to visit your cat in your home once or twice a day (depending on where you live), and I always try to play with and sit with them for a cuddle for around an hour (depending on how busy I am with cat bookings at the time!). I can often stay longer if you'd like, in which case please book for 2x visits per day. I do food, litter, tidying up, can give medication if needed, brush them if they like, play if they want and just generally be their companion. I easily grow to love my cat charges as if they were my own.
I love photographing animals and will always send you lots (probably more than you want!). I can also clip claws if needed for a small extra charge.
In your absence, I can also water your plants, check your post, etc if needed.
About Me and Cats:
I've had cats all my life, my first came along when I was 8 years old and lived to be 19. I had a few after and most recently, my 18.5-year-old rescue cat who adopted me 9 years ago. I've also taken care of friends' cats, in the UK, Belgium (where I lived until recently) and Germany. I am accustomed to dealing with cats who may have special needs. My most recent cat (now sadly RIP) was severely overweight when I adopted her; we worked hard to get her to lose the weight and she achieved that and lived a healthy and happy life for eight more years, despite later-diagnosed kidney disease and cancer. The lovely rescue cat I had before her had terminal liver disease and was not expected to live for more than a couple of months after I adopted him...he lived over three more years and ended up passing away for an unrelated reason.
Only Cats?:
I keep saying cat...I also have experience with rabbits, and some dogs may be OK - I used to be afraid of them; now, less so, so it would really depend on the dog. I really love greyhounds, whippets, Labradors and anything with floppy ears who isn't too hyper :) I had a handful of dog-walking clients in Belgium, including overnight stays or simply hanging out with the dog in their home while their humans were out all day. Other animals, I guess would be OK as well; it just depends on what kind! I have previously had a tortoise, fish and even chickens! Small pets such as fish, hamsters and gerbils, I might be able to keep at my house to look after. Ask me and we can talk about it.
What Else?:
I have happily built up some regular clients at Pawshake and beyond over the last several years and have met some great cats and humans! Having lost my job in 2020 due to the pandemic, I now have a chronic illness and pet-sitting is my only work, so please consider me for your small friends. 🌷

I would love to meet your pet and look forward to hearing from you.
When you send me a message, please tell me what area you live in because Pawshake does not tell me. Thanks!!
