I’m a dog person who grew up in a household of cat lovers, but have yet to find an animal I don’t adore! I love cats and enjoy caring for them, but as I wasn’t allowed to have my own pet dog, that was great motivation for me to start working for my neighbours as a dog walker and sitter when I was fourteen, living in California. I have over five years of experience walking dogs, (some of which required special care, medications, and the occasional emergency trip to the vet) as well as sitting for cats, dogs, rabbits and rodents. I have also done volunteer work with rescue dogs, and farm animals including cows, sheep, goats, horses, and chickens. After a year of working in hospitality in Edinburgh, I'm looking to return to dog walking and house sitting part time as pets are 100x more fun to work with than tourists, and no other job compares to keeping our fluffy friends fit and healthy. I haven't had the opportunity to work with snakes or lizards yet, but would love to gain experience caring for reptiles!
