Hi there, I'm Sinead. I am a nurse that has recently moved to Edinburgh at the beginning of the year from southern Ireland. I'm 28 years old and when I moved here I brought my Boxer, called Skye, with me for the company and I couldn't bear to leave her behind with family. Unfortunately Skye passed away recently and since then the place is feeling a lot empty and I miss her terribly. I want to help you as much as you will help me, by letting me have some time with your pets to fill the void that has been left behind, even if it is only temporarily.
When I lived in Ireland, I did a beginners grooming course and a short time in a veterinary practice for experience. Just for the love of dogs I thought it would be fun to do and be able to help out but my nursing career took over and I just did not have the time or energy to continue working shifts as a nurse overnight to continue grooming during the day.
There are parks and walks nearby that are great for dogs. There are always other dogs just running around, jumping in streams and having fun off the leash. Skye loved her walks around here, meeting and greeting other good natured dogs. Not only Skye loved it but I did too. Its always good to have a nice walk whatever the weather.
I live in an apartment so small to medium sized dogs are probably best but if you think your pet is a large dog and would be ok here, then I am more than willing to accomodate. Send me a message and we can see what we can do if you would like your pet to stay with me. I live on the first floor of an apartment block with access to an enclosed garden that captures the sun for most of the day. A 10 minute walk for me also opens up oppurtunities to walk up hills and really give your pet (as well as me) a good workout.
I can also do home visits and follow instructions to take them on their favourite walks too. I work 7/8 hour shifts 30hours a week so I have a lot of freetime so it could be a long visit to keep your pet company.
