Hi! I’m Athena, a first-year Veterinary Medicine student at the University of Edinburgh and a lifelong animal lover. I grew up with my own Shih Tzu and have also volunteered at local shelters, caring for rescued dogs and cats. My studies help me understand animal health, behaviour, and welfare, so you can trust your pet will be in safe, knowledgeable hands.

I’m gentle, reliable, and patient, and I’ve helped walk and care for dogs for friends and neighbors. I treat every pet as if it were my own and always prioritise its safety, comfort, and happiness.

Availability
I’m usually available during mornings, afternoons, and evenings. I prefer not to work late at night, but I am otherwise flexible and can adjust to your pet’s routine whenever possible.

Services I offer

Dog Walking
It is usually based on your dog’s energy level, age and needs. Walks range from 30 minutes to 2–3 hours. I usually walk dogs in nearby parks, and when possible, I take them to the Meadows for the large open grass area perfect for safe exercise and play. During walks, I ensure your dog stays safe, hydrated and happy at all times!!

Home Visits
For home visits, I can stay with your pet during the morning or afternoon to keep them company, play with them, feed them, and ensure they feel comfortable and cared for while you're away. I am also happy to help with small household tasks like watering plants, bringing in mail, and making sure your home remains secure and tidy.

My services include feeding, fresh water, playtime, companionship, exercise, and close attention to your pet’s well-being. As a veterinary student, I am comfortable monitoring your pet’s health and behaviour. I can also administer basic oral medications if clearly instructed by the owner. While I do not offer full grooming services, I can assist with basic care such as brushing and maintaining cleanliness. I will also send you photos to keep you updated on your pup and take good care of it so they feel happy and safe while you are away!
