Operating from my home in the South of Edinburgh and its beautiful nearby parks and walkways, I am a NASDU Certified experienced dog walker, sitter (day care provided) and boarder. I am also a lawyer with a keen interest in animal welfare issues.
I am fully insured and hold a Canine First Aid Certificate. I have experience of a wide range of breeds.
Heather is very professional and I had every confidence she would give Red a safe and enjoyable day with her and her pack as she took the time to get to know him and his quirks at our initial meet up.
Fantastic cat sitter, very reliable, punctual and available. Looked after my cat for a few days, couldn’t recommend her highly enough.
After much preparation and training, I recently substituted a life of law for a life of dogs. Dogs are officially my life now and I could not be any happier about it :)
When one position ended, I was considering my next move and was also reluctant to leave my dogs to the care of a sitter (the irony of this is not lost on me!). It was at this point that I decided to swop the air conditioning for fresh air and to do it myself. Since then I have dedicated months not only to my dogs but to gaining a better knowledge and understanding of all dogs by undertaking a range of academic and practical exercises, qualifications and experiences. I am a qualified dog handler and hold a Level 1 qualification in Dog Handling & Safety Techniques awarded by NASDU, the National Association of Security Dog Users. My business is called Safe and Sound Hound.
I would love to welcome Edinburgh dogs to the pack, whether for walking, day care or boarding.
