Very Experienced With First-Time Away From Home Nervous Pets
Edinburgh
About Lena
Currently working as a 'Functional Health life coach, I work and study online. I've lived in Edinburgh for 18 years and have been a dog sitter now for the past 5 rs. My background is rooted in cultivating health & well-being as a skin specialist, nanny, children's yoga teacher, dog walker and coach. I'm very experienced in supporting nervous pet parents with their pets' separation anxiety behaviour.
I have a lot of experience, especially with first-time 'away from home' pets. I provide trust, safety, and a confident calm energy for your pet and connected communication with you while you are away.
- I've completed approx 20 house sits. You are in very experienced thoughtful hands. I invite a minimum of two days for all bookings.
- Only one dog is staying at a time. I never walk more than one dog at a time.
- Please note I watch pets who are not reactive ( no chance of biting ) towards other dogs, people and children.
- I watch dogs who don't pull strongly on a lead for my well-being.
- Your pet must be comfortable to be on his own for 4 hours
- Please note, I don't watch greyhounds, huskies, bulldogs or dogs that need 24/7 care.
- We must meet for a 25 min meet & greet before a new booking goes ahead for the wellbeing of everyone
- Minimum 2 night / day stay per booking.
When I Visit Your Home What's Included In A Dog-Walk And How Long Does It Last?
- Booking a walk starts at 45 minutes, walks can be up to 90 minutes at a time tailored to your dog's needs.
What Does Typical Day Care Look Like?
- Daycare (9-5) consists of a 45-90minute walk in the morning. Toilet breaks throughout the day and another 15-20 minute walk before 3 pm
When Am I Available For Pet Care?
- My diary is flexible. mostly mornings and afternoons for walks.
How Long Will I Stay In Your Home On A Typical 24hr House-Sit And What's Included During The Stay?
- For house sitting, I will plan to stay at yours all day. I do have some outside classes I attend during the week. So we would ideally discuss this. I will care for your pet as if they were my own. That includes lots of variety with walks, playtime and in general friendly time together. I ask for a minimum of 2 days stay. Bookings finish at 8 am on the final day.
What Does Typical Day-Care Look Like?
(This is an example, I work with each dog and their owner's needs unique to them)
-Up at 6 am, toilet break.
- 7/8 am, long walk for 45-90 minutes. They can jump in the water and then pull me about chasing squirrels and saying hello to other dogs.
- Then home and breakfast, relax and usually sleep for them.
- 1 pm toilet break, 20 minute walk.
- 3 pm repeat and playtime :)
- 5 pm repeat, then dinner.
- 6 pm relax and chill with me for the evening while I usually read.
- 8 pm toilet break, then beauty sleep for your little one;)
I make it a priority that owners feel as much at ease as their 'little friends' by including them in our activities during the day with photos and videos. Typically, I send 1 video and a photo, sometimes more a day.
Bookings end at 8 am on the last day.
If you have any questions please feel to reach out.
Looking forward to welcoming you all!
Warmly,
Lena Lee
