I am a final year vet student at the University of Edinburgh and am absolutely loving my time here.
I moved here four years ago from Gloucestershire to do a Masters in Animal Bioscience and fell in love with the city so decided to apply for vet school.
I currently do not have any of my own pets so spend a lot of my time caring for friends and neighbours animals. I thought I would try pawshake to see if I could make it a more regular occurrence. I have experience looking after dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and farm animals. (Although I do have a particular soft spot for guinea pigs).
I have a particular interest in animal behaviour, which was first introduced to me during our masters course and has been reinforced at vet school. I have attended seminars from specialists which has given me insight into animal behaviour, from anxiety and aggression in dogs to what may be causing stress and behavioural problems in cats.
I am more than happy to house sit with your pet, go for dog walks, or simply pop in and keep them company.
I am comfortable administering any medication or any special requirements yout animal may have.
A number of my class mates are using pawshake and recommended it as an excellent platform.
Pets and flat were so well looked after. Animals took to Yaz right away. Got photo updates all weekend. Couldn’t be happier and would definitely recommend.
As a vet student we are trained in how to appropriatley manage and look after animals. I have also gone to seminars on animal behaviour and have a particular interest in dog bahaviour and training. I have also spent time with the trainers and canine carers at the Dogs Trust which taught me a lot about the psychology of dog aggression and anxiety.
