Hi, I'm Julie! I am a 24 year old 4th year veterinary student at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies who has always had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes. I have experience caring for a range of animals; from guinea pigs and rats, to cats and dogs, to horses and other livestock! As a student, I would love to be able to earn a little extra money to fund my studies.
As a pet sitter, I would be able to earn a bit of money, whilst also spending time around the one thing I love most in this world - animals! It would be a huge bonus just to be able to have some cuddles with your pet(s), as I haven't been able to bring my own pets to Edinburgh with me. I can offer evening or weekend dog walking, overnight pet sitting (within your own home, as my flat sadly does not allow pets), and home visits. I reside in Marchmont, right by the Meadows and Bruntsfield Links, so there is ample green space to allow a dog to exercise.
I am a reliable and trustworthy person, who is great at following instructions. I am good at being both independent and a team player. Due to my commitment to my University course, I would only be available in the evenings and at weekends. But I would love the opportunity to come and meet your pet(s), whilst giving you some well-deserved time off! I aim to walk a dog for a minimum of half an hour, but am aware that many pets thrive on routine! I am happy to care for your pet as YOU decide.
Julie was fantastic when taking care of our two rabbits. She came round each day exactly when she said she would, kept us updated while we were away and followed our instructions to the letter. We will definitely be booking her again!
Julie was wonderful, Neo (cat) took an instant liking to her. Thank u for looking after him Julie xx
I have an undergraduate degree in Animal Science, and a Master's degree in Wild Animal Biology. I am now studying veterinary medicine at the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies (University of Edinburgh).
